What happened to this guy? He's been quiet lately.
That list is OK until I gets to Edwards.
I'd take every player behind him, though I get the argument for him over smaller and/or older players.
But lord there's no argument for him over Haliburton.
I dont watch bad basketball. Only reason i have any interest in this trash is bc of Realcavsfans. Probably will start watching next year. You gotta actually tune into the games man.

Windy's podcast had Pelton and Marks on to discuss. It was pretty good, but their guidelines for this are ill defined. It's just what they think their potential is. Edwards is too high. Trae fell despite his team getting better. Lots of hype here. I mean Lamelo looks good, but he is better than Tatum?
I can at least see the argument about taking him over guys like Sexton and Ayton. He's younger and just a rookie.
But Haliburton? Ugh..no.
That means you think Haliburton is better than Sexton and Ayton right now?
I mean if you are projecting Edwards as better than Sexton and Ayton, why wouldn't you think his upside is higher than Haliburton? Not sure i get your logic. It means that you think Edwards will become more efficient and impactful than 2 guys that are already positives on the court?
The other issue is what is Haliburton's upside? I get a Kyrie vibe from him in that he shows up to the NBA basically fully former. IS he going to have 60/50/100 season or something? Like, he as far as efficiency he is already up there with what is actually possible. Rookies mostly get better, and I can see him getting better, but better than Fox? Is he better than Lamelo? He's more efficient, so why isn't he above Lamelo on this list? If Haliburton has a lot of head room to improve shouldn't he be #1 on the list, if not why not? What about Shai? Haliburton's numbers blow his rookie numbers out of the water. Why is Haliburton a worse prospect?
I really like Haliburton, but I am not seeing where his upside is derived from. Is a top tier superstar prospect?
Here's some more detail from Fedor:
Will Hartenstein opt in? The way he has been playing makes me think he could easily get double the amount he’s due next seasonHere's some more detail from Fedor:
As a rookie, nearly 61% of Sexton’s makes were unassisted. That percentage didn’t change much in Year 2. Through 43 games in 2020-21, that number has dropped, with 56% of Sexton’s made shots being unassisted...That approach has been more pronounced over the last three games -- a stretch coinciding with Dellavedova and Love returning from injury.
Sexton has had 15 assisted shots and only 10 on his own. Five from Dellavedova. Four from Love.
So with Delly and Love back Sexton's unassisted rate is down to 40%. That's only going to help him develop into a more diversified player and allow him to get more easy buckets where he doesn't have to break down the defense on the dribble and create his own shot most of the time. He'll be able to save more energy and be stronger late in the game.
According to Second Spectrum, Sexton averages 75.2 touches this season....Over the last three games those numbers have dropped [to] 64.0 touches. (His time and number of dribbles per touch have also dropped).
But the number that means most is Sexton’s points per touch, going from a very respectable .318 -- in line with many of the league’s efficient scorers -- to .375, which puts him alongside Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Stephen Curry, DeMar DeRozan and Kyrie Irving, among others. It’s only one metric, of course, but it helps highlight how Sexton can be just as impactful, if not more, when he doesn’t dominate possessions. His best shooting percentage comes after zero dribbles....
Pretty exciting stuff especially for next year if the Cavs draft a guy who is an excellent passer, whether it be a big guard or a wing or a power forward like Love. Having a backup center like Hartenstein who is already one of the better passing bigs I've seen will also help Sexton get more of those high percentage, no dribble shots.
