Maybe he'll eventually become something decent,
Just leave it at that. And the primary point that is bullshit is saying Sexton's only positive aspect is that he kept Okoro off the floor. That's a stupid thing to think or say.

Okoro's outside is starting to go in. I'd maybe wait and see how he plays the next half a season before you write him completely off as an NBA player.

Are you from the future or something? This hasn’t happened yet.

Praying that you are.

Sexton was off to a pretty bad start this year and I wouldn't be surprised if that was gonna continue due to the rule changes. He wasn't getting nearly the same.amount of bailout calls he was getting at the end of last year and his efficiency was way down because of it.

Playing Okoro 35 minutes a night is currently harmful if winning is the goal.

I'd be surprised if I'm not in the strong majority on that one.
You just expect every aspect of this team to be perfect right this second, don't you? Head coach has some positives but he has some negatives, get rid of him. Shooting/combo guard is too short, get rid of him. (got your wish on that one). His replacement starts the season ice cold shooting from outside, get rid of him.

Replace all these pieces with who and what? Who cares, just roll the dice with a franchise that has historically made more bad choices than good ones.

Maybe let the season play out a little? Maybe see what moves there are to be made as things progress and perhaps a good player on a bad team becomes available? I dunno.

But saying you're positive when you pretty much do nothing but criticize gets pretty old.

You guys make shit up about me in your head and then argue against that guys positions and not me.

It makes it impossible for me to even respond.

He made three 3 pointers versus the Nets and one against the Suns. Not great but the last 2 games were an improvement over what he had done up to that point.

You're pretty relentless in your criticism of the HC who actually has this team competing hard every night. You don't seem to like a fair number of players on the team. Not sure what I'm making up here.

1/4 against the Suns, 3/7 against the Nets. The Nets game was good, but he’s 6/33 this month.

The bar is shockingly low if we’re supposed to get pumped up about a single decent shooting game among a bunch of turds.

Literally the whole part about Sexton was created in your mind.

You guys become so attached to these young players that any ability to see their weaknesses is thrown out the window.

It's tiring. It's that case with literally every one of them, too.

I've been a Sexton fan his entire career. It's OBVIOUS to anyone who has paid any attention to anything I've said the last 3 years.

He wasn't good this year and he wasn't helping the team win. Every time they'd bring Rubio in the play on the floor immediately improved and that was backed up by the on-off numbers.

His 3 point shooting was bad. He was interrupting the offense more and more and he wasn't getting to the line.

He was off to a bad start. Those are facts.

He was still a better option than Okoro.

Also a fact.

And at no point have I ever advocated for Okro starting over Sexton. But that doesn't mean I thought Sexton was an ideal.shooting guard.

I'm very bummed about Sexton being hurt. It lowers the ceiling of this team. Sexton off the bench could have done real damage and given us an entirely different dimension we don't have now.

You are right on Okoro though. I think he's absolutely a bust and wasted capital.

Hey, all I said was his shot was starting to fall. Four made threes in 2 games is better than hitting absolutely none of them which is what we had seen before the Nets game. I never said he was some kind of lights out outside shooter. But every success has to start somehow, somewhere. I assume he's putting up a shitload of perimeter shots in practice or after games (at least he better be doing so). At some point maybe it gets better, can't gat any worse.

That seems like a real stretch of the use of that phrase, but to each his own

I don't keep very close tabs on who says what. I'm mainly reacting to the tone and persistence of what I've read very recently. And it's very likely I have blended some memories of Sexton hater with whatever negativity you've been laying down recently.

My biggest thing is I'm actually enjoying the product on the floor. They're surpassing my expectations. And as a general rule I'm going to push back against negativity. If things take a hard turn for the worse then maybe I'd become negative too but I'm a long ways from that.

I'm also not in favor of an overly optimistic stance. I think this team will be fun the way they are but they have gaping holes that will probably bite us in the ass at some point. I might favor a trade or a coaching change but I'm highly skeptical until I see the details on the new alternative and new reality that would bring. In the meantime I'm happy to ride with things as constructed until some opportunity major improvement becomes apparent.
