The franchise just got a star in his prime, a true star, and an unrestricted free agent that actually chose Columbus.

This marks something massive for the franchise, but you’re worried about cap space? C’mon man. They could get off Gus easily, he has positive value, and that gets them to about $8.6M in space.

Maybe you send out Bean or Robinson and you have enough for a Laine $8.2M AAV x 6 and bring back your other RFA’s.

I know I’m just fucking around since they never have any cap room and they finally do and spend it all. They’re gonna have to work some cap magic to bring Laine back.

I’m a casual hockey fan but enjoy it from time to time. I know the Blue Jackets signed JG but isn’t it a super young team?

The scores lately have been dreadful but were they even supposed to be good ?

They’re the 2nd youngest team in the league. Their 2 rookie d men they just drafted won’t be ready for like 2 years. Defense is the biggest issue imo. They way overpaid gudbrason. Who is like a bottom line d man. They have him 4M a year and tied up their cap for awhile. Cap space is hard to come by in hockey. And their powerplay is horrible. Which I think is attributed to coaching. Too much passing around and bullshitting rather than just shooting the puck. This should be an 8th seed team. But will probably be a bottom 5 team.
