Kenard Lang

Q – Is the switch to the new position coming easier to you or are you still struggling a little bit?

A – Oh no, it’s coming to me easy now. Every day is a learning day, an adjustment. I’m enjoying it. Everything’s coming along fine. I’m getting better every day. The coaches tell me I’m getting better, so that’s all that matters.

Q – From an instinctive standpoint, do you find yourself thinking less and just doing what you need to do?

A – Right now, I’m at this stage where I’m not even thinking any more. I’m just going to do what I have to do..

Q – Is there anything that you haven’t quite mastered that you need to work on?

A – The only thing I find difficult is rerouting wide receivers. That’s it. Every corner has that problem anyway, so I guess that’s not my biggest concern. That’s the biggest thing I’ve got to get down pat and try to be perfect at.

Q – Are you enjoying yourself?

A – Actually, I really am enjoying it. It’s like starting all over again. It’s almost like a rookie. I got to learn a whole new position, I’ve got to learn new plays, new schemes. That’s the main objective. Actually, it kind of gave me like a reboost of starting all over again. I’m not bored playing defensive end. It’s like “I know what he’s going to do; I know what he’s going to do”. At linebacker, I don’t know what he’s going to do. It’s been fun. It’s been a thrill.

I'm glad to hear that Lang is doing well at his new position, and that he's enjoying it. The Browns are a team that is low on talent, and Lang is one of the more talented guys on the team. When I heard the browns were switching to the 3-4, I was concerned that Lang now didn't fit in. That, or he'd have no desire to learn a new position. Sounds like no worries. We need lang, as he's one of the few pass rushers we have.

what a team player...he realizes which direction were going and hes being so cool about it.he was awesome at DE too...well im going to the game tomorrow and i can't wait!

have fun bro, im watching it on the t.v.

even though he is playing better i dont think that he will become a stand-out player at linebacker. i guess im not to optimistic because i havent see him enough in open space. against the lions i remeber him making an open field tackle which goes to show that he is capable of getting it done.

lang brings everything he can give each and every game that he plays in. im to glad that he is still on the team, it would have been a shame for RAC to let him go. good people and players like lang are hard to come by these days so keeping him on the team will only help.

go browns!!!

I know what you mean. Worst case scenario, I think he has a role on this team as a third down pass rush specialist. We all know the boy can rush the passer. I'm thinking he can do it from a 2 point stance just as well as from a 3.
