You guys know of any good composite cheat sheets, where multiple cheat sheets (rankings) are combined to form one sheet? Here's an example:

http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/2006/player_rankings_redraft.php

The reason I ask is that if you look around at the rankings that are out there, alot of them vary pretty widely. I hate basing my draft strategy off of one "expert's" opinion. Often these guys don't know any more than me. However, everytime I've used composite draft sheets I've done pretty well. I would just use the one above, but it's dated august 7th and the draft is the 29th. Most teams hadn't even played a preseason game yet on the 7th. Alot can change from then till now.

Scout should use it's mock draft muncher technology for fantasy drafts. That would be perfect.

I've thought about creating my own cheat sheet chalk full of goodies but I just don't have the time right now.

I always create me own, but not from scratch. I like to have a solid composite cheat sheet to start with, and then add my tweaks.

Speaking of which, one thing I do to tweak a composite cheat sheet is to shuffle players ranked very close together so that the players I like are ahead. For example, if you look at the link above, you'll see that Eli Manning, Nabb, and Bulger are all ranked essentially the same (6.6, 6.8, & 6.8 respectively). I would take those three and rearrange them in the order of which player/team I like more. If I really like Bulger and can't stand Eli, why would I take Eli just b/c he's 0.2 ahead of Bulger? Likewise, any Steelers always drop when ranked close to other players.

I went ahead and made my own. I took Cheat sheets from the following four sites and combined them:

http://football.about.com/cs/cheatsheets/a/bl_cheat.htm
http://football.about.com/cs/cheatsheets/a/bl_cheat.htm
http://www.fftoolbox.com/2006/cheatsheets.cfm
http://www.profantasysports.com/easycite/football.php?PID=3023&spid=30

In an ideal world with all the time you need, you combine 5 or 6 of these, and for each player you drop the lowest and highest ranking (to throw out any odd ball rankings). Then you combine the remaining scores and put them in that order. I didn't do this, just combing the four above and ranking them in order. Now, I did add my own tweaks for the final cheat sheet I'll use tonight, but I won't post that. I'll just post the combined cheat sheet from the above sites. Also, I didn't bother with RBs (since I already have 3 studs, and will likely only draft handcuffs for them late) or Ks (b/c it's not worth the time).

Oh, and ignore the number to the left of the name. That's just there as a result of copy pasting. The number to the right is the combined ranking from the four sites. I'm pretty pleased with the results. Anyway, here you go:

I do it all in excel, I have about 5 different rankings of players, 2005 stats, projected stats and fantasy points from previous years and project stats based on individual scoring for leagues.

Yeah, mine was all done in excel too.

Ever think about selling it? we should aleast compare notes.

I got about a week to finish mine all up, I got a $200 per 12 team league draft next wednesday.

No. It seems crazy to me that people actually pay for this stuff when so much of it is available for free out there, but I guess some do. I guess they're just lazy, or don't have the time.

As far as comparing notes, what's above is the gist of it. I did tweak it a bit, removed or lowered a couple injured players, adjusted some rankings I didn't agree with, bumped my favorite players up slightly.

I've got a great value pick for you: R Kelly, TE Cin. He's the starter on one of the league's better offenses with one of the best passers, and practically no one knows who he is. I didn't till someone drafted him in the 17th round (which is essentially the 21st round since we keep 4 players), and looked him up and was like "What a steal!" You can probably get him late too.

Yeah he had a td monday night, I've been looking to lockup any and all players on cincy's offense since it is so potent.

can you put up the RB's as well?
B/c of my situation, where I didn't need an RB and all the top RB's were being kept, I didn't bother to compile them. If Willie Parker (who should be a stud this year, now that he's got the Bus's goal line duties) or Cadillac fell to me at the 9th pick, I was going to have to draft them just on principal b/c they were hands down the best players left, but they went #1 and #2 in the draft. It just wasn't worth the effort since my plan at RB was draft Cadillac or Willie in round 1 if they fall, and if not draft handcuffs for my keepers in the last rounds.

Speaking of which, not having to worry about drafting RBs was a pretty nice luxury. It really simplified my draft strategy.
