Contractually Obligated: Alfonzo McKinnie

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It seems a low-risk deal for the Cavs. Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reported it "includes a little more than $600,000 guaranteed for the remainder of this season," with the final three years of the deal non-guaranteed. The $1.6 million average the deal pays yearly is also the league minimum.

So my estimates are that Alphonso got about $2.5 this between this contract and his previous waived contract and his 10 day contracts if he got the full min salary payout this year.

If it was a prorated min salary for this year, then I'm not sure how the numbers work out.

Not bad money for a guy who just three years ago had to pay $175 for a g-league tryout.

Not impressed. Likely gonna end up stealing minutes from KPJ and Windler this season. Also he's not very good. We found ourselves Patrick McCaw 2.0 but older and more shitty then Patrick McCaw.
How can he steal Windler’s minutes when he’s on IR?

Also we have no clue what positions Windler can play when he does come back next year. He might initially be a SG because his lack of NBA strength.

Having 4 wings in the modern NBA isn't even enough especially when we have 2 small guards in Sexton and Garland. Koby should be loading up on wings. Mckinnie also has the ability to play PF alot better than Cedi.

There's the money ball problem.

Wings are highly valued right now and so are hard to acquire through trades or as free agents. Might be why the Cavs are getting small guards and centers. They just don't have the resources to get top quality wings. Would have been really weird if the Cavs traded for Wiggins instead of Drummond at the deadline.

I hope they find a quality athletic wing in the draft this June.

plays hard but he really cant shoot, needs to work on that three ball big time.

Plantar fasciitis is a longish term injury I thought? Maybe the reasoning behind that G league trade?
