So what is the first moment we can offer Porter a multi year guaranteed contract and how big should that contract be?
Max contract (40 percent of the cap , fuck it) for 15 years. MLB time for Craig.

Seriously, they can offer a multiyear now if I'm not mistaken. Dunno what the money value equals out to, but would be something like vet min + (probably less given the circumstances? But trying to high ball it), probably a team option on the final year. Hoping they go forward as soon as possible but they'll delay it as long as they can, which may be whatever limit the 2-Way games played threshold is

I love this kid.

Ok, who here is buying the hooker to thank CPJ for signing wit us?

He said in his post game the other day that teams don’t have tape on him. So we will see how that plays out but he is the type of player every team and every fan wants on their team.

I don't think someone can swoop in and take him away from us. That being said he is too good of an option to keep on a two way because we will most likely need him in the playoffs.

The idea of keeping him on a two way is so we can have rotational players on cost controlled contracts at a moment we might really need it if we can retain DM and if we extend Mobley with a max contract.

That would be really dumb, cost control with a player like him is locking him up for a bargain rate. He finishes this year on the two way he becomes a RFA with a really low qualifying offer. We could offer him more but at that point I don’t think we have any advantage over other teams bidding for his services.

You want to free up money looking toward Mobleys potential max, shed some dead weight, starting with Rubios contract.

Yep, no rush, he's all ours.
Even though we have an open roster spot, we're only 750k from the extra tax hit.
Either waiving Merrill or getting Rubio to retire could get us the room we need.
Or making a trade where we take back much less salary back.
Plenty of way to make it happen and it will, but again, no rush.

Big decisions to make.

Has to get major minutes going forward.

For me, I'd make him the first guard off the bench. There'd be zero units going forward where Mitchell is the point guard.

That leaves Okoro and LeVert to fight over who gets to be the primary backup to Strus. And the other guy would see his minutes cut fairly drastically

The Cavs have a tendency to sign almost all of their two way players to two year contracts, I have to think they signed CPJ to one also. Didn't Wade get a multi-year contract when they signed him from his two way?

They have to give him a contract now. It's no longer a choice.

Let's hope JBB doesn't change that. If he disappears from the rotation when LeVert and Mitchell are back then fire him.

Will we ever stop picking on sexton ?
What exactly did he do to piss pretty much everyone here off. He didn’t give effort ?
What did he do so wrong other than not be a all star
My bad. I loved sexton and still do. That was a slight dig, I hedged my post with the passing stuff to avoid the pushback from others saying, "no way, Craig is miles better at passing/awareness". If you look at my post edit that was my original take, just a bargain Sexton. Sexton is my dude, rest assured. There is no topping the young bull's tenacity.

Let me guess, you scream out Collin's name during climax.??

Just like you hate f*ck your blow up doll with Sexton's face on it everytime someone posts anything about him?

(Sorry mods if this was over the line. It just seems ridiculous that we can't even mention Sexton's name without some childish comment being said without even a comment on anything else we said in the post.)

Huh that’s interesting. Still, you don’t want to offend someone by underpaying them if they are massively outperforming their contract. I guess you could take a few months to see how he performs once teams have scouted him, but you need to lock him up if he keeps performing like this. It’s not just his stats it’s that he appears to have no fear of the moment and keeps his head at all times - just a real PG personality type

He looks incredible hopefully he isnt a total non shooter though
