I'm traveling abroad and wasn't paying attention. It went back up 1.3k$, I know....but I fully expect it to go back down again soon. I want to buy lower than 7k per BTC. We shall see.
Big swing eh?

Don’t understand why you’re getting so defensive of it

It’s not for everyone. All I said was I don’t understand how it’s a safe haven. I understand that isn’t how you’re viewing it. I’m just giving my opinion because I find it interesting to discuss. I just started trading options which has been a hoot and a half in itself
This isn’t defensive. This is trolling you idiots. If you don’t understand why it’s a safe haven, probably should have looked into that thousands of dollars ago, meaning any time yesterday or before. Don’t worry, you can come around later, once it’s more broadly accepted. A cautious approach. Measured.

PS - other absurdly cool projects waaaaaaay more exciting than BTC and undervalued too.

What's going on? It's been pretty flat for 2 years
Not really the last chance - but I'm just forecasting it to start entering and staying in 5 digit realm. Looks like it went up several hundred the last day...which isn't exactly abnormal.

Why do you see it going on a big run? I am just curious. I have a little, but not much. Just seems like a lot of people have become disillusioned with it.

I guess I can't give you a scientific reason - just a feeling.

The blockchain technology is starting to become useful for people and business. The words Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and blockchain are starting to become more of a household term now. I also think worldly affairs (especially financial and sociopolitical, etc) will play a roll in the next few years.

This is still in its infancy. Many believe it will approach 6 and 7 figures at some point (i.e. less than 10 years). Many believe it is inevitably the next step in the form of a cashless society and a revolt against central banking. You also have people who believe it is evil, is another tool that the so-called elite will utilize to enslave people, it's worthless (you can't even argue that anymore), etc.

I guess I feel the opposite. I think more people see it as a scam when before it was a promising new technology? Maybe all the scam stuff is mostly overwith. I dunno

There's plenty of people who try to use it as a scam, and/or see it as a scam. I highly doubt many people truly understand blockchain technology (including myself).

People are making money off of cryptocurrency and trading, there's no doubt about that.

Following in the steps of the stock market...Bitcoin is getting demolished.

Its has dropped 43% so far today.

Luckily I sold most of my bitcoin yesterday before the drop.
NBA Suspending the season was my canary in the coal mine.

I’ve never dabbled in it but it sounds like that stuff is pretty volatile in general?
