Crypto is a Ponzi scheme. Lost all respect for the Cavs and Dan Gilbert. Good bye folks.
I think most financial advisors would say that if you are a major play you need to have at least some crypto exposure.

You sound like the guy in 1995 that said the internet was a fad, your post is going to be hilarious to bring up 8 years from now. You have no idea how mainstream this is going to become....

Signing Adams to his shit contract and then just adding assets to flip him is like buying into BTC at $60k and then getting scared and selling everything when it hits $30k

I would just like to say to whatever mod moved this post that it was actually great timing

The overwhelming majority of crypto's are junk Ponzi scheme bullshit and do a disservice to the ones with real, tangible utilities.

Yeah, but to to imply he is done with the Cavs forever because they are involved in a very legitimate project in CHZ is flat out ignorant. They also have contracts with the Celtics and Sixers for next year as well and have been with high level European soccer teams such as Manchester City and FC Barcelona for almost a year including national teams.
They are also working on securing deals with the NFL, NHL and MLB too. People should really do more research before just assuming any crypto project is a scam. There are a lot of scams out there but CHZ is very legit.

"This is the start of an exciting partnership that we believe can eventually lead to greatly enhanced fan engagement for fans of the Cavaliers around the world."

Basically there will be a Cavs fan token next year you purchase through an app called Socios ( chiliz app used to interact with fans of individual teams) that will give you opportunities to interact with the team and players. With some of the soccer teams the tokens have allowed fans to decide and vote on what jerseys the team wears on a given night, and participate in exclusive meet the team events that did not exist before.

Why do you feel it's "very legit"?

I see a coin with no utility. No utility means it's worthless.

From what I can tell, they're basically trying to tell consumers that they're, at worst, like a digital trading card (I doubt anyone actually buys the "coins equals votes equals access to your team!" pitch). Their business model appears to be "get into the news as much as possible every time a team accepts our money."

I'd expect the people behind the platform to continue paying teams for publicity until they feel their coin has mooned, and then to get out and abandon the project.

Read the updated info I put in before. It's about creating increased fan interaction with the franchise. The model has proven to be very popular in soccer.
When you get contracts with the Boston Celtics , Philadelphia 76ers and Cavs ( they are in negotiations with several other teams too) its impossible not to take the company seriously. You are taking about partnerships with Billion dollar franchises and in the case of national teams entire countries. That does not happen by accident.
The fan tokens for the Argentinian national team sold out in less then two hours. There is def demand, and this company is just geting started.

Gotcha, so exactly what I said.

It's very, very possible not to take the company seriously. Their business model sure looks like it is to pay franchises so they can get their coin into the news, and hope enough people take notice of them to pump the coin up high enough for the principal owners to dump it and get out.

I am not sure you understand how Chz and socios work. The fan tokens are specific to each team and are through the socios app. They give fans interaction opportunities that did not exist before.
Chz is the name of the crypto you can buy in exchanges. You are not buying the crypto chz when you buy your team's token.
It goes way beyond " news"
Fans have used the team tokens to go to attend meet the team nights, have the power to pick jerseys worn, help create alternative team logos, get into games early, get exclusive access to merchandise for example.

Do you really think anyone can walk in and get a multi year contract with the Boston Celtics, NFl franchises, AC Milan and Manchester United? Billion dollar franchises and professional leagues chose their partnerships very carefully. You are smart enough to know that.

This reads as if you crushed Jack Dorsey's, the Winklevie' and every other crypto bro's tweet's, snorted it, and started to type.
