Damn them..the Cubs signed Bobby Howry today, the link is on espn.com.

In other closer related news the Tribe "wooed" allstar closer BJ Ryan today when he visited Cleveland, they showed the scoreboard with his likeness in a Tribe uni and cap.

Hopefully we can snatch up Ryan but all signs point to him going to the Bronx with them overpaying as usual and him being just a mere body underperforming like Johnson and Pavano.

;) I'm confused then.. :chuckles:

Ryan is said to be very excited to play for the Indians if the money is right, if we give him a good offer, I think he comes here.

I cant believe we let Howry walk, what an idiot move.

Truth be told, we will never win a world series with Dolan as the Owner.

This is how it always works. The Yankees sign whoever visits at a 75%+ clip. But they always underperform after the Yankees like go far and beyond the second highest offer.

No one passes up going to the Yankees, exposure, more money, they usually always have a playoff caliber team.

I think if he goes to the Yankees he will be overshadowed and people will lose patience with him making him just another guy with no name on his back just a number.

Pavano and Johnson were expected to be what the Yankees needed uhh no sorry. Johnson struggled heavily, and Pavano spent the better half of the season on the DL.
