Maybe I’m optimistic, but I’d like to think that if they’re comfortable bringing him back against the Magic of all teams, he’s fully recovered and ready to go. Doubt they would rush him back to play against a team like Orlando.

Just shows that the Cavs are anxious to end their 5 game skid and keep the momentum going for this season. Even without Mobley, the Cavs were in every one of those 5 games and undoubtedly would’ve won some of them if he had been in the lineup.

I’ll never understand why a lot of people always assume players are being rushed back into action when they return earlier than anticipated.

If Mobley returns tomorrow I don’t see any reason to believe he’s anything short of ready to return.

No doubt. I think both things are true, 1. Mobley is the difference maker between winning and losing most of these games, and 2. Mobley is fully recovered and 100% ready to go

Koby/JBB need to win games and Mobley certainly helps them achieve that, but more than anything they need to manage Mobley's long-term health and the Cavs have a history of doing that under Koby's watch and are often times overly cautious.

Seems like the team either had no legs in the 4th or struggled to get stops during this losing stretch and having such an impactful player like Mobley returning to the line-up will help on both fronts.

Agreed. We don’t need him against Orlando and can win that one with a patchwork lineup. Why are they rushing to get him back in the lineup? The only thing that makes sense is they legit want make the playoffs this year, at all costs. With Mobley, the Cavs are a playoff team & potentially a 4 or 5 seed.
Who says they're rushing him? And who says they're gunning for the playoffs at all costs, including jeopardizing their franchise player's health? You're making all this up with zero evidence.

Mobley's back early? GOOD. I know that GS, Nets Part Deux, and Suns games would have gone differently with him just being able to affect the defense. Especially that Suns game.

Let the fun resume.

Exactly, they are not rushing Mobley back. They gave a longer time table than needed on purpose so fans wouldnt complain on him being out. He probably needed 1-2 weeks for real. Its a sprained elbow, not a knee injury. Has anyone got an example of someone having their career cut short because of a sprained elbow issue?

Just saying we have worriers on here with zero evidence they are rushing the kid back, lol

It was always a 1-2 week injury, the 2-4 was more on the safe side just in case.

Glad our unicorn healed up quick

I am sure what really happend was Mobley defended against being out longer and blocked any negativity against his return. He just zoned in on playing.

The corollary is that if they were keeping Mobley out a couple more weeks, the same voices would be complaining about how they’re babying Mobley and how he needs to get out there and play.

If you’re inclined to find a problem, you’ll find one. Every time.

Its a sprained elbow, its not even a chronic type injury, some players have played through them with zero time off in playoff situations.

He contested the teams interpretation of the injury, without fouling Koby or the medical staff, blocked the layoff, recovered the ball, and now he’s going to secure the win on Saturday
