Garland has been very good offensively since he got back. The problem is his bad turnovers. If he cuts that out, he has All-star ceiling. He makes scoring looks easy but he has 2 weaknesses as a player right now.

1. Lack of a clutch killer instinct. Knowing when to rip out opponents heart (Mitchell has mastered this).
2. Bad lazy turnovers that kills momentum.

People will say also defense but hes actually been playing decent defense this season.

I will say that one thing he improved this summer is drawing contact, he is going to line way more frequently. This actually ups his ceiling quite a bit. Not even worried about the turnovers, he's usually not that careless, every so often he has games like that.

Garland basically is the basketball version of Del Griffith. A clown. He tries these ridiculous plays that have little chance of succeeding, confusing everything around him.

I would say then he is the Futuredome of basketball. He takes these ridiculous stances and makes these posts no one but himself understands or agrees with.

Darius and Spyda are starting to figure it out, although not quickly enough for the impatient fans among us.

It really is hard how to figure out to play with another ball dominant player. one who feels just as important getting the ball as you.

I agree, but I also want to note that sometimes progress isn't always linear. There is still a lot of figuring out to do and there will be challenges ahead. We probably won't waltz straight into an NBA Championship.

That's why I tuned out the people complaining about Garland when he first returned (was even suggested we should trade him lol). It's nonsense. What sticks out to me watching our guys in the locker room is that Garland is a KID. He's still soft on the top of his head and I bet his breath still smells like breastmilk. He'll improve and he'll be fine.

And I like how much more decisive Mobley looks in the last few games.

My guy’s defense is so ugly but yet he’s so pretty with the ball in his hands…
