It was basically a one man wrecking crew that took the game from a 4 point to a 12 point game in the span of, honestly, a minute.

He missed three straight layups an dcommitted two fouls.

A minute later he missed two straight threes and committed a third foul on a made bucket.

It was pretty bad.
Not exactly. Cedi entered with 6:45 left in the third with the Cavs down by 5 points. With 4:27 left he hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 4. Then came the sequence you described.

Between 3:46 and 3:02, a span of 44 seconds, he missed three shots and committed two fouls, neither of which resulted in free throws. During that 44 seconds the score did not change; it was 58-52 Knicks. It was not Cedi's finest minute as a pro but it did not increase the deficet at all.

Cedi was on the floor at the end of the third quarter when the Knicks lead ballooned from 4 to 17 points in just under three minutes, but the only mention of him in the play-by-play is one missed 3-pointer. Those last three minutes were where the game was lost because it's very tough to make up 17 points in one quarter against the league's top scoring defense.

Cedi was ineffective but so was Sexton, Drummond, Nance, Prince, and everybody other than Garland.

Don't forget Okoros missed layups and 3pters, as well...

Bottom line was, Garland was the only guy who did anything positive during that stretch of losing basketball.

Why does our offense only generate 3 point looks for him?

Cedi has to be the worst player I have ever seen at tipping the basketball after a miss. It's like a 6 year old trying to tip a basketball that is too heavy for him so he tries to swat it like a volleyball. Cedi is a mystery man.

What kind of shit is that of "dark side"? What do you expect for a second round pick? ... Yes, we need a good SF, a Gordon Hayward tipe of player to be a trully plsyoff team. But Cedi, with his ups and downs, i think is a usefull rolleplayer. No a starting material, perhaps more inconsistent than Tayrean, but what do you expect?

knew I recognized him from somewhere

cedi looks like that unskilled dude in pick up basketball that you don't have a choice but to play because he's always hanging out in the court.

That was a rough one.

I'm on team Cedi Off The Bench but..that was rough.

He can't have a bad game and then just decide to put his head down and play worse.

If he's missing catch and shoot 3s, ok. But the continuing to drive into traffic and toss up prayers is not what we need out of his time on the court.

I still remember people giving Ty Lue shit for not playing this dude in the playoffs his rookie year...
