I wish Bickerstaff give him more playing time. I'm starting to be a fan of his....I think,Wade can be part of the rebuild. He just gotta get valuable experience to help his growth...

My only issue with JBB, besides from the non existent playbook is that Thon is getting minutes over Wade. Inexcusable especially considering how bad our shooting has been.

Yeah this is annoying. But last game it reached a point where he put Wade in and Thon didn't see more time. Hopefully its a turning point.

Maybe another thing he could be trying is tk give them each a small run so they have some motivating competition between them? Or maybe he prefers the added height and length of Maker?

I'm just grasping at straws of course. Wade is better in every way except the limited rip protection Maker provides.

Wade needs to shoot it. I honestly think he is not getting minutes because he isn't aggressive enough

It might boost Wades confidence if his teammates could set him up for
an easy bucket soon after he gets in the game. See the ball go in the
basket and proceed to fill it up.

I'm with you. He's looks to be the opposite of the "normal" NBA mentality. Most guys in the league don't have to be encouraged to pull the trigger or make a play for themselves. But it looks like Wade would prefer to defer to the other guys. That's not a bad quality to have in a backup, but if you have skills that could help the team, then you need to use them. And, lets be honest, right now with so many people out, Wade is a more gifted scorer than many of the guys he's deferring to. If I were coaching him, I think I'd try making it clear that I don't mind mistakes of aggression - Just tell him to get out there and make some plays. And then back it up with not pulling him when the inevitable rookie mistakes come.

He got a couple of minutes last year, but he is essentially an NBA rookie. I don't think it is a surprise he is trying to play D and give up the ball.

I am trying to remember which game he got a steal and drove it up the court. Might have been pre-season. He looked like he thought the ball was stealing his soul and he needed to get it out of his hands ASAP.

I get it, and he probably thought he might get minutes for an injury, but being the primary backup 4 for the first quarter of the season was probably not what he thought. The moment is slightly big for him at the moment even though he is contributing, but if he gets a wide open 3 he needs to take it. Bickerstaff has already said that, and I have seen him still being reluctant.

I like him, but he is supposed to be one of the better shooters on the team. If he gets an open shot, he needs to hoist it because that is where his value is for the Cavs. Just needs to get the jitters out

He is all about making others around him better. Always has been and always will be. And yes.... that’s not typical MBA mentality for sure. But it’s a winning mentality.

I feel like Wade has had chances this year to hit an impact shot and continues to not make them.

It's one of those situations where we just need to ride him and let him get use to the NBA. Nance isn't going to hold up playing all these minutes and I don't think we can count on Love to get and stay healthy. We really don't have any other option but to see if he can be a rotation NBA PF.

The more I see Thon Maker, it just feels like he is at the end of the road as a NBA player. He just isn't good enough.

When you miss a shot and they sit you down what do you expect? Nobody else on the roster has that short a leash.

He really isn't that good, and I don't think he will ever be that good. Very few undrafted players ever make an impact in the NBA, there are always a Ben Wallace or Brad Miller, but they are few and far between and in cases like Brad Miller, the reason he went undrafted wasn't because of talent.

I haven't been impressed by Wade this season, but to be fair, the reason he went undrafted also wasn't because of talent.

Fill me in on the story, why did he go undrafted?
