Recurring foot injuries
I live in B12 county and saw him play quite a bit. His Junior year, before the injury, he was as good as anyone in the conference. No doubt he was at least a second round pick if he stayed healthy. His senior year it looked like he had lost some quickness/explosiveness and then he got hurt again on top of it. It looks to me like he's got his mobility and explosiveness back. He's been solid on d, but he hasn't found his place on the offensive end. One of the things I find puzzling is he's become nothing but a stand still 3 point shooter. He was an extremely effective post and mid range scorer in college and when you looks at his highlights from Canton he worked that area very well in the G-league. If you are struggling from 3 like he has the last few games, go get an easier shot.

Doesn't he look tentative to you? He is struggling with the speed of the game IMO.

Yeah...kinda crazy how in the modern NBA the PF position has become what the SG position used to be, regardless of what a player's actual skillset is. Grant Williams was one of my favorite guys in the 2019 draft and he's basically just a 3-point specialist offensively for the Celtics, which is wild considering all the things he did offensively in college.

Wade hasn't shown anything yet to get excited about. He looks like a stiff to me. A Kevin Love replacement? That's funny.
Some folks here seem to think he may be OK though, so I'll remain hopeful.

I'm also missing quite a bit of whatever lots of you are seeing in Wade. He looks like *barely* a JAG to me. Whats his NBA skill? What keeps him in the League (intangible or stat sheet)?

I thought he looked better in the preseason. Was hitting shots, getting steals and assists. Can't seem to do much right now.

Given his college and g league stats from 3, the hope is that he can shoot around 40% from distance and be a reasonable rebounder - that’s his main hope for staying in the League. I think the thing that is surprising is the doubts coming in were about his lateral quickness and guarding in space - an area in which he’s been solid. His shot and rebounding were assumed to be the reliable part. So far it’s been just the opposite.

Needs some consistent minutes, even if just 12-15 per game, to adjust to the speed of the game. Similar to joe harris, won't look good in 3 minute stints.

Is there any logical reason whatsoever that when every time that Wade scores a sub runs up to the scorers table to check in for him immediately? Insanity from what I can tell.
