Dean Wade had a better junior year than his senior year. It was unfortunate that he had a foot injury in the end of his junior year which would not allow him to play much against Kentucky and not playing in the elite eight. Dean was very frustrated at that time not being able to play. Dean said he was working his mid post game after his junior year but I thought he struggled especially on the defensive side. One surprising thing was that he was only 65% from FT line beginning of college and was not much of a shooter when he came into Kansas State. He worked hard during the summer practicing FTs to improve to 78% in his final year. And he now has become a great 3 pt shooter. Good player to have for a 2 way contract. Hope he can keep improving his game.

We desperately need another 4. I hope he sticks. I know people like him.

See how he goes in the G-League but I was not impressed, has my support for now though.

I like the signing, let's see how/if he develops. 6'10" with a real nice stroke from deep, if he can successfully extend his range from college 3pt distance to NBA distance, he'll have a chance to stick. He'll get abused on the defensive end, but he has just enough mobility to be somewhat capable.

If you have a good imagination you might think we signed a young D-Wade. Rebuild is on track.

While I don't think he has the athleticism of a NBA player, he is a two way contract project that does make sense for the Cavs. If they move Love at any point in the season and Wade shows he can get his 3 point shot to NBA range, he will be able to get minutes and use his NBA days.

I think if we had any depth with modern PFs behind Love, I doubt the front office would have offered Wade a two way contract.

He isn't very good, but maybe he can get his body together. He had foot fractures, so he probably isn't in the best shape of his life.

He has looked way better in preseason than summer league

It's night and day. He had some smart plays in summer league, but damn if he doesn't know how to play with a pg. He also runs faster and jumps higher than I would have expected. He looked so nonathletic in summer league, and last night he threw down a lob. He is quick, and moves his feet well on defense. He kept just getting in Taco Falls way, and for guy who is significantly shorter, he did ok.

He has more wing skills than I realized. I am not sure he is a 3, but he can be that wing 4 for this team. I like him as a backup to Love and Nance at PF. Chances are he plays injury minutes.

Just really liked his awareness on the floor. Seems like the most defensively ready rook. I like his defense.

He is pretty nice. I agree. He needs to shoot more 3's though..he has a good looking stroke.

Well I won't complain if he gets wide open layups. But yeah his shot looks pretty good
