Is anyone kind of weirdly impressed with Dean Wade's defense? Like I expect him to get abused out there and he finds ways to contribute on that end of the floor.

I’ve actually been pretty disappointed in his performance. Now is not the time to be negative though. So, I’ll leave it at that.

I think he does an acceptable job at both ends of the court. Unlike Cedi, Wade can come off the bench or spot start and he’ll do what he can. I like his professionalism.

He a good guy to have as your 9th-12th man on the team.

Why are you suprised? This is the GOAT we are talking about

Have we ever used a lineup with Wade at the two yet? DG/Wade/Lauri/Mobley/JA? Since he can reasonably spot up, might as well try a supersized lineup where everyone but DG is 6'8 or taller when he returns.

Cavs kinda miss this white boy....
He would have been a nice option to try on Middleton when he got cooking in the 4th. I thought Wade's niche in the league was going to be his shooting. Who would have thought he might stick around because he can defend big guard/forwards like Durant, Tatum, Doncic & Middleton?

Then can we play Tacko as the point guard?

We've effectively played some zone defense this year. We could do that with all our big guys.

Why is he so much more reluctant to shoot this year? Last year he came in and just let it fly.

Maybe because last year we sucked so losses didn’t matter, a lot more pressure this season

I watched him play in college quite a bit and he was a reluctant shooter even though he could get his shot off any time he wanted. Has a point guard mentality in a power forward body. I think he can be unselfish to the point that it actually hurts his team at times - if you are a good shooter with an open shot - shoot the damn ball.

He seems more reluctant than last year tho. Very odd. I was down with him as our spacer, but he isn't really doing it.
