well he is still considered one of the best european big men to ever play basketball and after these injuries he still played for 15 years on a very high level so to say that it ruined his career is overstatement, but yes he could have been best big men to ever play basketball, as a lithuanian myself its truly sad that he could not reach his full potential

Seeing this play out the way it did, reminds me how fragile an NBA player's career can be. We should appreciate good health, because it's not always a sure thing. LeBron's been very fortunate in this regard (even if he's been careful by practicing yoga and stretch-exercises for his whole). In fact, he should consider himself lucky that it didn't happen while taking 1 + 1 year contracts this past decade.

Still would never wish it on anyone, even the worst personalties in the league...
