Not a fan of Valentine -- he's been pretty bad in the NBA thus far. I mean if we view him as a SF then I guess it's an OK signing since our wing depth is bad... but I'm not sure the dude is even a SF.. screams more of a poor shooting SG to me.

Good news is the contract is easy to cut/trade if need be so it's not worst case scenario. He'll probably be nothing more than a practice body but if I had to bet I'd say he'll be "hurt" with Kevin Love most of the season.

I don't think we have any intention of keeping Rubio or even playing him. If we did, you wouldve expected Altman or JBB to reach out to him by now.

Yeah, if you guys do the Simmons trade he’d have to go with Sexton to Philly.. I’m guessing. Rubio doesn’t want to be with Cavs that’s been made clear I hear, but he’ll come and be a contributing part of the team. He’s a pro.. but I’m just saying I could see him being a piece to the potential Simmons trade along with Sexton if the talks go that far..

I think rubio gets flipped at the deadline for assets and pangos takes over as back-up pg. I do think rubio will be a good influence for garland and sexton in his time here.

I thought Valentine was a pro here. No word of him complaining about lack of PT etc.. when called on he played hard, still took some Denzel head-scratchers, but that's who you signed. He was always a contract to be moved or shed.. I'm sure he was aware of that.

Don't feel the need to kick the dude on his way out.
