Denzel Ward

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He might be the 2nd most important player on the team, him or Garrett. Maybe it is 2A and 2B

Why do you have a drawing of Pat Sajak?

Pat Sajak --> Wheel of Fortune --> Vanna White --> chub -->

Nick Chubb is our 2nd most important player.

PFF released grades

Ward ranked third worst CB this week with a grade of 29.8

That tackle attempt on that long run by Brown was about as yikes as it gets
The whole back 7 outside of Greedy played like shit

Holding, getting lost in coverage, etc

Probably the most surprising part of the game for me. People looked like they had no idea where they were supposed to be. Ward and Randall, our two best DBs in particular looked like complete ass

Was not a fan of the Wilks hire and this was a real bad start for his defense

Ward was better this week (especially in the first half), but at times in the 2nd half it looked like he was just loafing around out there. Not contesting catches, pathetic tackling attempts, etc.

Starting to get a bit concerned. Wonder if his injury in camp is still bother him. Or if he's playing soft to try to avoid injury. Or the new defense is confusing him. Whatever it is, he does not look even close to the player he was last year so far.

Jets killed Ward with the short pass. This was Ward's biggest weakness in college and last year. He was targeted eight times, gave up six receptions, and for an average of 12.8 yards per catch.

The good news is that Ward has really only allowed two deep passes all year (one was a touchdown, but Randall went the wrong way and Ward was expecting help). I think we may actually just be seeing a small sample size problem when it comes to all aspects of pass defense outside of short passes.

Thought Ward was one of the few bright spots yesterday. Don't remember him giving up any catches (maybe one for like 5 yards? I was drinking a lot). Seemed like he was locking down whoever he was guarding. Had a couple nice tackles too.

Unfortunate he wasn't able to come down with that interception in the endzone. That would have been a huge play, and one he probably makes at least 8 out of 10 times.

Denzel Ward vs. Minkah Fitzpatrick

Not that there is a wrong answer here, but if you had to do it all over again, would you take Minkah?
