D'Ernest Johnson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Let's fire up the fishing boat boys.....

We have 3 RB's on the COVID list, we need one of the 3 to get off the list by Sunday, hopefully Chubb. But i trust D'Ernest if he is the lead back.

This guy looked like the only one who was hungry and gave a fuck on the field. After watching the last Building the Browns, I will always be a fan of this guy. Seems humble and appreciative, works his ass off. Great story and I hope he remains a Brown.

He didn't have that many touches, but when he did he was damned good. I really hope someone offers him a nice deal to be a RB2 or to be a 1B to someone established's 1A. I don't want to lose him but as a person, I want him to get paid.

D Ernest should be the kickoff return guy. Punts as well. I've seen enough of Felton.

I don't know if he has any experience doing this. But I wouldn't mind him getting more touches

They tried Johnson at returner sometime ago and I don't think he was impactful like at all. They may just value someone that can secure the punt/kick than someone who can break one for extra yards and TDs.

Successful returns seem less common with time in the NFL and probably just as likely to be a turnover. Still, would hope Felton or somebody can squeeze a few more yards out there.

Hearing people say/seeing some tweets that this could be D'Ernests' last game with the Browns.

If we were never going to play him why didnt we trade him for ANYTHING? Like a linebacker with a pulse, or a conditional late draft pick.

I know the answer could be no one wanted him, but i dont believe it, given all the RB injuries around the league.

He was more valuable as a 4th RB needed in case of injury (which they’ve needed the last 2 years) then a conditional late round draft choice. In addition, I don’t think he would have netted the Browns a linebacker with a pulse. But that’s just my opinion. I do recall he made a few tackles on special teams.

This.

First, he has no value.

Second, he's Chubb's backup. If Chubb goes down, we need him. Chubb stayed healthy all year so he wasn't needed.

It's like asking why we didn't trade other backups. They aren't worth much and depth is important.
