Deshaun Watson Soap Opera

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I still think there is a 100% chance he plays NFL football again.

Maybe not in 2021, but if Michael Vick can come back...

He will play in 2021. They are using the word force here loosely. He didnt grab these women and rape them, he just paid them to do sexual acts to them and most of the women reluctantly complied. Sexual misconduct is not necessarily illegal. His reputation is screwed, and he is looking like he is a piece of shit, but he didnt trap a woman in a bathroom, have a guard outside and force sex.

I am just saying he might not get charged with a crime and still lose millions in civil court at the same time.

I'm just glad I'm not the decision maker who decides whether or not he plays football. Seems like a shitty place to be and will be a lose lose regardless of their decision.
I don't see why criminality should be the deciding factor.

Looks like he's engaged in sexually predatory behavior. Look into some of the cases, confirm them through private investigation, and put him on the shelf.

But, based off the NFL's history, I doubt that happens.

Thats where I'm missing something and I'm not following this as closely as a certain criminal case right now. So I may be misinformed but I don't consider asking for a handy or his bhole oiled as predatory. Apparently he was hitting girls up on Instagram asking for massages as well as soliciting during his massages. In my opinion that is not predatory behavior. Is it unwanted? Probably. Did he force them? Did he threaten them? Idk but those are some of the lines I would draw between an assault or other predatory behavior rather than a perv trying to get his jollies.

I think he gets an 8 game suspension or something like that. Its horrible what Watson did, but the degree of the sexual misconduct matters. He isnt hitting these woman which is worse to me, nor is he physically forcing these woman to have sex. He is offering them money when they feel trapped and many said yes. Its disrespectful to women and the legitimate message industry, but is it a felony? No.

I think perspective matters, and should he lose millions? Yes, should he be in jail and lose his freedom? Probably not.

As far as I know, there's only one criminal complaint at the moment. That may and probably will change, but as of now I don't think he's at serious risk of jail time.

Do you think it's okay to turn to a woman in your office and ask her to finger your butthole?

What makes this any different?

It's sexual harassment. It may not be illegal, but it's unwanted behavior and the league should take a stance against it. Playing in the NFL is a privilege. Be better.

Forcing them is rape. Nobody is saying (I don't think?) that Watson raped these women.

Just letting you know, "A perv trying to get his jollies" sounds like you're just dismissing sexual harassment as "boys will be boys."

Of course, with the history of the NFL, pretending there's any sort of morality is a joke. Kraft and Ray Lewis say hello.

What Kraft did and what Ray Lewis did are in different stratospheres, i think what some of us are saying is this needs perspective and no he didnt rape this women, he disrespected them, humiliated them and did horrible things, but he didnt force anyone and perspective is very important in cases like this.

He deserves punishment, and he is going to lose allot of money and some games in the NFL, but i dont think a year is warranted in this case, 6-8 games. 500k each for the woman.

Yes, which is why I used them as examples of things the NFL has chosen not to punish. It casts a pretty wide net.

Agreed, which is why I said he didn't rape these women, and I don't think anyone is saying he did. @MattyFos. asked "did he force these women" in response to me calling Watson's behavior predatory.

He deserves punishment
I agree. But more importantly, I hope he finds rehabilitation. He's a very talented individual with lots of money and influence. No reason he can't think about the problematic behavior and work towards rehabilitating his image and being a more positive member of society.

I have no idea what punishment is right. If I were Goodell, I'd put him on the commissioner's exempt list until I saw behavior that changed my mind. This isn't a case of "do your time, then come out like nothing's changed." It's a case of "Stop treating other human beings like shit. Find some empathy. Try to see the world through their eyes. Do some things to make this right and then we'll see about getting you back on the football field"

No I wouldn't do that in an office setting or with anyone really cause I'm not a piece of shit. Comparing the two isn't the same, in my opinion. The women all had a chance to say no. Whether it was on IG or in person. They can say no. Is he a piece of shit for putting them women in these uncomfortable positions? Yes.
But again I think this conversation started with talking about punishment not whether what he did was bad. Of course it was bad. But from a punishment perspective idk how I feel about him being punished because he was bargaining for sexual pleasure whether it was through messages on IG or laying in a towel offering a few extra bucks for a knuckle.

And the charges on Kraft have been dropped. Right? I don't know all the details but it sounds like the Trafficking was a lie and used to illegally get evidence which was used for solicitation charges.

Whether it's an office or a massage table, that's the workplace.

They are the same.

The choice of the women to say no isn't the problem here. Again, nobody is saying he raped all these women. In an office, in a classroom, or on a massage table, they can say no. It's still sexual harassment.

If you don't think the NFL should punish its players for sexually harassing people, that's fine. It's certainly in-line with the way the league has operated historically. Precedent is on your side. I just disagree with you.

But it's not his work place. So its not his coworker which makes it a different conversation entirely. But yeah I'm cool with a disagreement. Makes for a healthier dialogue

It's hers...

She's a human being.

She has a right to do her job without being sexually harassed.

If you come into my office, whip your dick out and tell someone to suck it, I don't think you're an okay dude just because it isn't where you work.

I wouldnt work in an office setting where I’d be made to feel uncomfortable just for asking a woman to finger my butthole.

Jumping the shark here a little bit.
