Watson is now a Cleveland Brown. Let’s talk about how he plays on the field.

In his 2nd season and 3rd seasons, he has led to 11-5 and 10-6. He has made 8 comebacks and 10 winning drives in his career. He won a postseason game with a comeback in the 2nd half against the Bills.

His offensive linemen were terrible and had 62 sacks in his 2nd season. He will be here with a much better offensive line and having Chubb, Hunt, Cooper, Anjou, and DPJ. This is going to be a great opportunity for this team and franchise.

Plus Watson is a great dual threat which led that 20 yd rushing TD and 2pt conversion against the Bills in the playoffs when needed. He has the intangibles to make a drives winning and when needing to score.

The intention to start this thread is how he can help our team offensively.

I don't see a reason why he wouldn't. He's very good in play action.

This is going to be a boon for the Browns against most of their opponents who expect the run. Chubb and Co. are still going to chew up the field, and perhaps now, they'll be able to put on a lead in those instances we get a stop from the Joe Woods defense.

Nick Chubb is going to absolutely feast with having Watson at QB. No longer are teams going to be able to stack the box.

Stefanski has preferred to use a lot more under center formations and a lot more heavy personnel packages in his three seasons designing and calling offense.

Watson has just not been asked to execute that kind of offense too often. Doesn’t mean he can’t do it, and doesn’t mean there aren’t benefits for Watson to take advantage of the best running game he’s going to have ever had.

It’s just going to be interesting to see how Watson and Stefanski both adjust to each other.

Watson has just not been asked to execute that kind of offense too often. Doesn’t mean he can’t do it, and doesn’t mean there aren’t benefits for Watson to take advantage of the best running game he’s going to have ever had.

It’s just going to be interesting to see how Watson and Stefanski both adjust to each other.

I would be shocked if our personnel and groupings didn’t change considerably with Deshaun. I doubt our system pitch included him being under center as much as Cousins or Mayfield.

I’d imagine we had a package of plays, that highlighted what Deshaun’s athletic talent could do in boot action but I think we’ll be a heavy shotgun team with Deshaun.

Both our backs are effective out of the gun and I think it would actually be a nice boost to Chubb, who has more receiving talent than we have used recently.

Definitely going to be so fascinating watching what scheme adjustments KS makes to try to unlock Watson with our personnel. We have so much athletic talent now at every level that I would suspect we will be doing some unique things on offense.

Aaron Rodgers grew up in California and plays in Lambeau.

Deshaun played a few games in cold and did not wear sleeves. It seems like he has the attitude / toughness to embrace it.

Watson also threw for 388 yards in arrowhead during the playoffs. I’m sure he’ll be fine.

What’s the question? Rogers had the arm strength to overcome the wind and weather in GB in spite of growing up on the west coast. Watson doesn’t have that elite arm strength. Maybe it’s enough but he won’t be able to throw the passes in December the same way he was able to throw them in Houston.

That's right about the weather. We usually only have a couple bad home weather games per year. But the wind off the lake can be tricky even on otherwise mild weather days.

No way could I see the value in putting a dome on a football stadium. But that's a different topic.
