Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Awesome, now please don't outsource the boss fights this time.

Haha when I saw this topic my first thought was: basically make the last game but without shitty boss fights.

It would be nice if they didn't dumb the game down...you know, maybe create something worthy of the original.

Still my favorite game ever.

Haven't bothered with this series since it got turned to crap in the sequel. I hear HR is good, and maybe it is, but I doubt it touches the original.

God, I remember how ball-numbingly difficult the original was. The story was so interesting, though, that you powered through it anyway. The main improvement that Human Revolution made (and Invisible War probably did it as well...I just don't remember because I played that game so long ago) was not having the success of your attacks calculated by some bullshit D&D dice roll. It was always really obnoxious being right next to an enemy in the original and having a melee attack fail because your stats weren't good enough. That's one thing that I'm very glad most games seem to have gotten past, because it was never fucking fun. It can work fine in turn-based combat, but in real-time combat it's just insanely frustrating.

Anyone else pick this up today?

Played the first 3 levels today and thought it sucked. The first couple missions were cool and then it got boring after the first boss.

Don't bother.

5/10

I don't recall ever seeing you in the game sub forum. Have you played any of the previous deus ex games? It isn't meant to really be a shooter as much as stealth game with rpg elements and some shooting.

Yeah, I'm a huge Deus Ex guy.

I always favored stealth and rpg over shooting. This installment is way more shooting, which is what was disappointing.

I ran a few of the side missions and found that just racking up kills with no overarching goal was unfun. Just not enough plot in this game for me.

The CGI was weak too and the weaponry isn't particulary impressive either.

You don't have to shoot anyone.
