Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Played the first 3 levels today and thought it sucked. The first couple missions were cool and then it got boring after the first boss.

Don't bother.

5/10

Haven't had a chance to play it yet myself, but will hopefully have a few missions knocked out tonight so I can make my own judgment.

Just curious, what did you think of Human Revolution?

I thought it was excellent.

I thought the cyberpunk theme was really cool.

I underutilized the warp option in retrospect and if I was going to replay it, I'd probably try that.

I'd also try using one of the other characters.

Well, it certainly appears that this game has kept the orange and black theme of its predecessor. That has to count for something, right? :chuckle:

For sure.

I don't recall ever seeing you in the game sub forum. Have you played any of the previous deus ex games? It isn't meant to really be a shooter as much as stealth game with rpg elements and some shooting.
You don't have to shoot anyone.

I had never heard of this game until yesterday and haven't played it.

Can't say I'm completely enjoying it... This is a game I wanted to like.. and.. don't.

And.. what's weird to me is that this game feels Japanese.. Hard to describe what that means but... I fondly remember the original hoping the could recapture that feeling, and this just isn't it.

I'm sure it's a good game, but.. I don't think I'm going to come close to finishing it.

Haha honestly as soon as you said something about warping and then gave a two word answer to my follow up I was like, yeah... :chuckle:

Yeah, I haven't played a whole lot but I'm starting to get that same vibe. It's still enjoyable, but not as much as the last one.

I've been enjoying it so far, although I detoured earlier today to finish up Ryse: Son of Rome so I could uninstall it from my PC.

The new augs seem like pretty cool additions and vary nicely to suit various play styles. As always, I'm doing a stealth run. No kills, KO only. One thing I dislike is that Jensen feels the need to punch people to knock them out instead of doing a simple, quiet choke. It's kind of obnoxious, really, and seems to defeat the purpose of being stealthy.

Not only that, but he also stands up for a split second before crouching back down, so I always instinctively hit the button to crouch and end up making him stand back up.

One other annoyance I've found that pops up occasionally is that, if I quick save while in cover mode, sometimes when I hit the space bar to resume the game after a quick load due to being spotted it will carry over that command to the game itself and Jensen will leap over cover, which instantly means another fucking quick load and the Russian roulette that comes with hitting the space bar yet again to resume the game. They need to fucking fix that, or just make it so you can hit any button to resume play.

Was gonna get it for pc but i'm hearing all kinds of performance problems. Plus, I dont really care for the micro transactions in a single player game.
