Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Have had a hell of a year taking care of myself. Went to sign up for a test drug trial for something for motion sickness and got an irregular ecg. Went to cardio and was told I was completely fine. Test drug company needed the results so i sent them over and found out I actually have left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and mitral valve regurgitation.

Have to assume the doc saw that and it didn't worry them. Have done some research and have seen doctors say diastolic dysfunction was basically on every chart they ordered on residency and that everyone gets this over the course of their lives and to not really worry about it, but monitor

In any event,.I haven't blasted in over a year and really don't care to get much bigger. Would like to stay around the same size which I think I can manage without going on some huge cycle.

Good job realizing that size isn't everything. Time to become healthy and content with your body. Let the body heal and rest. You will look good with 1000 ng/dl levels as well.

do either of these work?

ginseng
Ashwagandha
Gingko Biloba

to have good effects on brain?

Damn, I don't feel like going to the gym today.

Abs/Cardio day today. Sore from yesterdays Chest/Tris.

I fucked my taste buds up and am 100% over some of the foods I've eaten every day for the last 10 years, I could use some meal suggestions

What do you make that is relatively healthy and keeps you full?

This is not a meal but as I have mentioned I work from home. I am on zooms or calls like all day in my office in my basement. I make a huge smoothie every morning, use kale or spinach, ginger, yogurt, bananas, and mix frozen fruit and or beets. Helps me throughout the day when I am running on low and need food in me. Keeps me full, prevents me from snacking and is healthy.

The two meals that I consistently eat when I'm doing well are:

1. Eggs
2. Baked potatoes

The eggs are usually my breakfast, and the potatoes are usually my lunch. For the eggs, I'll typically scramble 4-6 eggs, and mix in some of whatever I have prepared/feel like having (cheese, onions, peppers). For the potatoes, I'll microwave one or two potatoes (depending on size), then add some butter, cheese, maybe some bacon bits, maybe add some turkey to it for additional protein. It's not elaborate, but it keeps me full for a few hours.

This is sort of adjacent to @bushwick_bill 's response above, but I like to prepare a snack of Greek yogurt, bananas, and PB2 powder. I'll prepare several servings at a time, with one 2 pound container of yogurt, maybe 3-4 bananas, and several tablespoons of the PB2. Mash the bananas, add the PB2, then stir in the yogurt until the whole mix is creamy. I'll portion it out into a few plastic containers, so that I can grab them from the fridge as needed. The bananas give it just enough sweetness to overcome the bitterness of the yogurt and give it a dessert-ish feel.

I'll also cut up a bunch of carrots and celery and put them into plastic/Tupperware containers. Again, the idea is to have a "grab and go" snack. I fall into that trap of mindless eating (eating while working, eating while watching TV), so if I'm going to mindlessly snack on something, I'll snack on those. If I close my eyes and really pretend ... it is still absolutely nothing like eating Doritos. But I've gotten to like and even crave the taste.

Great suggestions. Eggs always keep me full (5-2 130 female, so 3 is enough for me to stay full for hours) while husband (5-9 145 male) can stay full on baked potatoes or smoothies.

Tbh, I can't do what husband does -- he has the picky eater gene from his scrawny mother per AncestryDNA.com, so he eats just like her : a very limited diet, pretty much no meat, hardly any veggies besides potatoes either. Meanwhile, I love meats and veggies, so I stay full on stuff like eggs, fish, beef jerky, broccoli, chicken salads, and peas.
