Dion Waiters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was wondering why Dion didn't have any stats this season. I know he lasted longer than Bennett, but I thought he's stick arround a littler longer. Wikipedia had the goods--
  • On October 19, 2019, Waiters was suspended for Miami's 2019–20 season opener for "conduct detrimental to the team."
  • On November 8th, Waiters missed a game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to a panic attack he experienced while flying to the game. His panic attack stemmed from over-consumption of THC-infused edibles.
  • Two days later, the Heat suspended Waiters for 10 games, including the previous game he missed, for the consumed edible.
  • On December 12th, the Heat suspended him again, this time for six games, for calling in to work with an illness, then posting a picture of himself on his Instagram page on a boat celebrating his birthday.

Waiters is in his fourth season with the Heat, though he’s yet to see any time on the court this year. That’s largely been connected to his off-the-court issues, which have involved three different suspensions by the team.
Adding even more mystery to the social media post is the fact that it was soon deleted after being posted.
The Heat have made repeated attempts to trade Waiters over the past year. However, the combination of his behavior, injury-plagued history and contract that runs through the 2020-21 season is seen as the key roadblock to making any deal.
There’s also the possibility that Waiters has come to terms with his situation and is now ready to contribute to the Heat. That scenario might not be forthcoming, since there’s no current indication exactly when the team might end up using him on the court.

Always was and always will be a scrub, at least he somehow fooled Riley into giving him a fat contract

All too true. I suspect the ten-years-from-now Dion will be (a) broke, (b) in jail, or (c) dead. Really hope I’m wrong, because he seems like a good dude at heart. But man, has he made bad decision after bad decision

Which option do u prefer out of the 3?

I think it'll be "only" broke. He's not crazy enough for the other 2 imo, he's dumb but not dangerous-dumb i think.

Always thought he had talent, and it was his head holding him back. Gonna get some burn for sure with so few ball handlers

Heard multiple times last night.

I have to say, I am enjoying watching the Lakers. I never thought I would. I never got into Miami. The title softens it, and sort of like getting Kyrie, while not as good, I like rooting for Cedi, Sexton, Garland, Nance, KPJ and even Love. I am ok with our team, and I can enjoy the Lakers.

I like their style much better than the Clippers. Clippers are just a chore to watch without Pepper WIngs and Harrel.

The fact he didn't go on TV and the fact he went to LA for business and his family really softens it for me. While i ddint hate him like so many, I never rooted for Miami.....i am rooting for LA, I want Lebron to have a claim to be the GOAT.
