DIY home improvement thread.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I took @KI4MVP advice to switch to LED light bulbs. I did the majority of the house and have a couple florescent lights to still change but the last two months our power bill has dropped by about $15-20 each month from the same time as last year.

If your house just uses normal light bulbs all over, it's super easy to switch and cheap. I got a 24 pack of LED bulbs for ~$22 at Home Depot. Our most used lights were small candle bulbs so those were more expensive at ~$1.50 each on Amazon if I bought in 6 packs. The florescent will be the most expensive with least cost savings per bulb. Im going to change the one we use the most because the buzzing from the ballast is annoying. The other ones I'll wait till the bulbs died before changing them.
