Don is on the injury list with a groin injury. Wonder if he will play tomorrow.
He's on the list but he's listed as probable...I think if he goes through shootaround, he'll playDon is on the injury list with a groin injury. Wonder if he will play tomorrow.
Coming in here to say I was dead wrong...Donovan Mitchell is absolutely deserving of being an All-Star starter, and should have been picked one.Nah I think the voting actually got it right. He was probably the 4th best guard in the East, when looking at the entire season. That's not good enough to be a starter, but he should be picked as a reserve.
LeBron-like 4th quarter performance tonight. Just willed us to victory on back to back to back possessions and couldn't be denied.
There's only a small handful of players in the league that can do this, and we have one of them.
He should've been an ASG starter for sure.
One thing from following Mitchell's career since college that I have become accustomed to is that he is a true professional. He doesn't air out the dirt laundry for everyone to see. He keeps everything behind close doors where it should be. In Utah, even with the whole Gobert rumors/issues, he constantly downplayed them in the press and was always thought of as a good teammate by his peers. He never publicly demanded a trade (and who knows if he even did behind the scenes) and was all Jazz until he was traded. I would think the same would hold true for the Cavs.I have been saying for a bit now you really cant trade Mitchell unless he forces you to, and no one says he has asked for a trade. The media is obsessed with no one ever wanting to play in Cleveland, and obviously we don't know how they really feel, but we have never heard anything negative from Mitchell, in fact its all positive.
Mitchell is one of maybe 10 players that can take over a game like he did last night, and you just cant trade that, especially when that player is entering his prime. He wont sign an extension until he has to, the longer he waits, the more money he makes, but Donovan is special.
