Mitchell can take over games. We have seen it enough to know it's not some statistical anomoly.. I see some koby in him..

We gush over mobleys potential, but today Don is the best player on this team. And thatvis no dis on Garland and Allan and Evan.. Don is just that good.. from a trade perspective he was worth the price.

We have the pieces to take this to the top.. we may need to tweak the supporting cast, but the core is right.. by core I mean DG, DM, JA and EM.. Thats four guys that are or will be Allstars. Not a lot of team with that anchor.. Unlike some, I am also a fan of the Coach.. JBB is the right guy to preach defense and effort, play the right way.. most champion teams have that lock down defense ability. We have to learn how to do that with the cavalanche on the road, but I think that gets better with experience.. so buckle up fellas, this rocket is taking off!

that is the thing with DM, come playoff time he can impose his will on teams. He has done it in the past. We Have not have that kind of player since LBJ

I actually agree. Mobley has the potential to be the best, but I dont think Garland has the potential to pass Mitchell while Mitchell is still close to his athletic prime so for what 6 more years or so?

Not a "dis" on Garland, I love his game, but Mitchell is a top 10 player in the league right now, maybe top 5, and he is just that good. Its crazy how wet Mitchell's shot has been this year, I feel every time he shoots it that its going in. Mitchells cross over and pull back and drive is just sick also, I love watching him play basketball.

Who is the better player makes no difference. How they all play together does.

Paul Pierce was not better than Lebron, but the 2008 Celtics beat them because they had just enough from those other guys. Hell if they didn't have PJ brown, they lose that series and we have Kobe-Lebron finals most likely.

Chip won't hinge on Donovan or Mobley. If they get there, they will need everyone and all the different skills they bring. Donovan is the best player right now and is the leader

It will come down to the Keetay.

It's true! Look at MIchael Pietrus in 2009! That guys sucked, but was a star for one glorious series I will never forgive him for

I think that is a bit extreme, he has to keep it up for more than 30 games, heading into this year I though of him as a bit of a volume shooter, now he is taking better shots and playing at a MVP or atleast vote getting for MVP level, but i need more than a year of doing that much less more than a partial year.
idk...i mean- with the fall of Klay...who is really up there with DM? maybe Lillard? i cant think of a better volume 3 point shooter outside of Steph

Bane at 45% taking 8 a game
Jerami Grant at 46% taking 6 a game
MPJ at 43% taking 7 a game
Brogdon is at 49.5% taking 4 a game

Its subjective, we will see I guess, but Mitchell has been a much better shooter than i thought

I keep seeing Mitchell not mentioned in MVP talks on these sports shows. One article called Mitchell a fringe MVP candidate.

I don't know what an MVP is anymore:

we kinda got ourselves a lightweight splash bros going on- id like to see garland get up 8-10 threes a game as well. not sure why our offense has no off ball movement at times. frustrating

You can see the Gail Goodrich influence that we all talked about… It’s definitely evident…

A true late bloomer, Gail.

You see the flashes of Bill Sharman, if I’m not being too bold as well.

Bill Sharman ? What type of whack ass fucking comparison is that ?

Although that hasn’t fully manifested itself in FiveThirtyEight’s RAPTOR-based prediction model (we still call for Cleveland to fall just shy of 50 wins), the Cavs currently have the NBA’s fourth-best record (16-9), with the point differential of an 18-7 team, and they’re one of just four teams ranked inside the top 10 on both offense and defense. Let’s dig into what’s driving that success, as well as some things that could tip the scales toward the Cavs leveling up even further....
  • The small backcourt hasn’t hurt on defense

  • Garland has pulled his weight on offense

  • The Cavs’ guards are playing the right roles — together or apart

  • Mitchell is shooting the lights out

  • And there’s still room for improvement
