Early 22 projected roster!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I mean technically parker is at 2.5 million lol

Tommy Hunter got a major league deal from us, Boone Logan got 5.5.. with a second year option... In 17. We acquired Hand in 18... When Shaw left... 19 we signed Perez and Clippard... Acquired Wood, Maton, Cole etc

So price wise it was Boone Logan in 17, so signing Chafin to the same type of deal wouldn't be to far out there.
FWIW, Tribe paid Andrew Miller a pro-rated salary of $5.85 million in 2016.

We were talking about major FA signings in the $2/3 mil range.

Oliver, a loogy, was signed for $1.75, resigned for $2.5.

In 2017 it was Boone Logan for $5.5. (21 IP)
In 2016 it was Tommy Hunter for $2 mil. (21.2 IP)
In 2015 it was Gavin Floyd for $4 mil. (13.1 IP)
In 2014 it was Alford for $4.5. (10 saves)

Understood. I was just noting Tribe has paid big (2016) dollars for high end bullpen help.

So Chafin isn't out of the range of the organization...

As far as signing relievers, Bryan Shaw left here for big money with the Rockies, then Seattle, then got dfa'd.
He resigned with Cleveland to resurrect his career.
But I don't see us paying big money for a reliever. They are too unstable.

We could do a short term deal, but outside of that, no we aren't going to...

If Chafin is willing to sign a one year deal for $3 mil, sure...he is on our radar.

We can go higher than that, his track record doesn't say he can merit much more...

Just a little FYI from Indians Prospective Twitter ...

#Indians current players that are minor league free agents after the 2021 MLB season ends. They are eligible to sign with any team unless they are added to the 40-man roster.

Not a single one would I look back on as a poor decision to let walk. Gonzalez could become a good DH, but I think we've got that covered already. I was hoping Gose would work out, but it doesn't appear that will be the case. The rest are just roster filler IMO.
