ECF Game 3 | Cavs vs. Celtics | May 19th, 2018 | 8:30 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anybody remember when Paul Pierce said LeBron needs to score 40 for the Cavs to win? Well he had 27. Drink your tea now you jealous bitch.

Man boobie Gibson is still the man... I will always remember that game 6... the emotion I had seeing the Cavs knock off the pistons at the Q and seeing Lebron hug Z at mid court will never be forgotten by me

It's kind of crazy he left basketball as a career 40% shooter and before he hit his prime age range. The 3 point shot took over the NBA right after he quit. I wonder how much Mike Brown coming back played into it. Byron Scott would play him but Mike Brown seem to like to put Boobie into the dog house for stretches of the season.

I'm not sure any coach would bench a career 40% 3 pt shooter who plays defense in today's game. I don't think Mike Brown could justify playing in today's game a below average shooter with length (Jamario Moon) over Boobie who was shooting a 47% 3 pt shooter in 2009-2010.

When in the blue hell did boobie play defense

That is the type of effort I wanted to see on both ends. They weren't satisfied with just 1 side of the court, they played defense AND executed on offense and Boston didn't stand a chance. I seriously think they found something that will work moving forward and it's as simple as playing faster. Boston wants to slow the game down and they played right into that in the first two games, last night Cleveland dictated the quicker pace and it favored the aggressor. Also, I expect TT to start the remaining games in this series, he plays Horford hard and Al has to work that much harder to get his shot that if you limit their anchor, they will just float away never to be seen.

The Cavs have been bipolar this season, I can, realistically, see them completely moving on from this successful game plan or actually sticking to it...who knows at this point.

I didn't say he was a good defender. I think Boobie was an average defender and would try more than Mo or Kyrie. It was overblown what Boobie couldnt do by Mike Brown, even Byron Scott said that when he took over. If you look at guys who have washed out of the NBA recently, it's 3 point shooting not defense that keeps players in the league. I think most coaches would rather have Boobie in today's NBA than Jamario Moon.

I dont know what the advanced stats say, but boobie always seemed like a plus defender out there to me.

I remember Boobie being a willing if not particularly able defender. He was a bulldog. He gave the effort unlike Mo, who would quit trying on defense if his shot wasn't dropping.

Boobie had a nice career for a guy who went 42nd overall in the '06 Draft. And nobody can ever take Game 6 from him (31 points on 9 attempts from the field!)

Why is he not playing Hood, to maybe have him get some buckets and gain confidence?
Lue is such a dumbass.

I think Hood is done for these playoffs. He’s had a lot of chances to get it together, and hasn’t yet. I would forget about him and move on. Whatever we did last night, do that the rest of the way
