ECF Game 3 | Hawks @ Cavs | May 24th, 2015 | 8:30pm EST | Cavs lead 2-0

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Brent Barry IS THE MAN...

Basically said that the Korver play was good fundamental basketball play by Delly, Delly diving to the floor for the ball and protecting himself and the ball, and had Korver dove LIKE YOU ARE TAUGHT TO DO instead of bending over he wouldn't have gotten hurt.

Coach also said, in his 40 years in the NBA, it was always said "if you want to get hurt, stay on your feet when going for a loose ball"

Well add "Delly is a dirty player" to the bullshit stories we have to read about now. Personally I think it ranks below "Kevin Love is leaving" and "The players don't respect David Blatt" in the Bullshit Media Stories about the Cavs power rankings.

I listened to coach as a kid. Dove for looseballs like a young Matthew Dellevedova. Resulted in 1 concussion, 8 stitches, and shitty picture in the yearbook.

....all worth the victory.

This was my exact thought. He let up at the last minute while Delly gave up his body for it. It's too bad since Korver is a good guy but he's soft as fuck. Should've dove like a man and nothing would've happened. The play where Antic shoved Lebron in the air when he knew his vertically challenged ass can't get to the ball is dirty as fuck. We were fucking lucky Lebron didn't bruise a tailbone or busted a wrist trying to brace the fall. But not even one fucking mention of that play by the media and all the broken hearted girly fans out there smh.

What the hell did I just watch? Wow. That game took a lot out of me and I didn't play a second of it.

James missing his first 10 attempts, 37 overall being a career high to the lowly and beaten up Atlanta Hawks who almost stole this game.

+14 on the boards, 13 more offensive boards will usually get you the win but it was harder said than done.

Of course, epic night by James with the triple-double and just being banged up out there (dude is going to own EVERY record one day) but I got to give it to 3 guys on the offensive end. Shumpert, Smith and Delly. 15, 17 and 17, respectively. Did anyone catch Smith's boards? 10, second to James' 18. That little guy had 10, no one on the Hawks did.

Nail biter we saw, hopefully next game will be a blowout to start the rest.

They took the Hawks' best punch, Atlanta has no more. They are gassed.

Also, it rained hard here in the 3rd and a little in the 4th. I lost tv satellite signal for a few minutes. Not wanting to spoil the game, I waited 20 minutes to download a russian torrent (only one at the time) to watch on mute from the 3rd on and then went back and watched in HD on the tv with the missing time. I am so OCD, I didn't want to spoil any point (don't know when signal would come back) so I just watched on my computer until game over and then again on the tv, watching missing time on channel's repeat.

Anyways...

I don't mean to be hyperbolic, but out of LeBron's entire career, that was the most impressive game I have ever seen him play. I really felt like a "witness" last night. As horribly as his shooting started, tonight you saw why people have been bowing at his feet. The versatility. The toughness. The "cheat code" stat lines. And for that game to happen at home, in front of his adoring fans, in a Cavs uniform...

He might have added a few more to the LeBrony army with last night's activities.

I have to give credit to ATL for refusing to fold after Horford got Taj Gibson'd.
And to Blatt (yes, Blatt). He stuck with Tristan (who BEASTED) despite being in severe foul trouble. Mozgov wasn't playing so hot, but when Tristan got 5, I was sure we'd see more Mozgov in the line up.
It's amazing to see what this team has become defensively in the playoffs, with the injuries they've had.
I mean, JR Smith is even handling the ball in LeBron-less lineups and snatching rebounds like a boss. We would have NEVER gotten that out of Dion Waiters. JR is coming off the BENCH!
Dellavedova.... do we need to even say it?

Even if the Cavs don't win it all, I want this whole exact team coming back next season.
The way this regular season went I never could have imagined this.

Delly is clearly brought down, and even turns his body to provide resistance and prevent flying into Al's leg.

Example. If you are sitting on the floor, in which manner are you able to give more resistance. If I push you from the side, or the front? Clearly from the side.

That's why TNT won't let him do the biggest games. He's a reasonable, level-headed analyst that makes solid observations. That doesn't sell. They'd rather have Reggie out there making shit up and insinuating Delly is dirty for playing the SAME WAY he did as a player. Actually, I take that back. Reggie WAS dirty. Fuck that guy.

I love Bones. He's the best color guy TNT has, but they continue to trot Reggie and Webber out there because they're bigger names. It's sad.

Dog jersey is officially 8-0 in this year's playoffs!
