On May 13th, 1992...

The Cavs were playing the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.
It was game five. The series was tied 2-2.
... Cleveland ended up blowing out Boston 114 - 98, and would go on to win the series in 7.

This was the last series Larry Bird would take the court.

Will this be the series Al Horford loses his remaining dignity?

History will be archived, time will flow, Hubie Brown will continue to talk, and basketball will be played. All we can do is witness.

Enjoy it today.

Loved the clip of that Cleamons put-back. Who was the Bullets’ guard who juggled his cojones at the start of that clip?

I'm worried about Boston catching fire early/us not bringing the defensive intensity from the jump.

I think that's Phil Cheneir. He's kinda like the Bullets/Wizards equivalent of Austin Carr. He calls games for Wizards broadcasts these days.

Good catch though. :chuckle:

Vegas doesn't know what to do with this game.

Dog keeps switching. Odds are in favor of Boston at the moment and most of the money is on us

I agree.. Yea I’m not feeling this one tonight.. we always play better and with more intensity like you said but not just defensively but offensively too when our backs are against the wall.. that’s why I’m not really feeling this game but I do think we win games 6 and 7 if we do lose this one.. would love to be wrong though and the Cavs prove me wrong and win this won and the game at home to close it out in 6.. come on love.. go for 30+ and shut me and everyone else hating up again.. he’s had one hell of a rough series so far.

Anybody confident in 2 of Korver/Love/JR shooting exceptional tonight?

SAS said that two of those three need to shoot well for the Cavaliers to win -- this was several days ago at least. You're starting to think like him -- that's a bad sign friend.

Seriously -- who knows. We're just going to have to watch this play out. All i know is that if the Cavaliers lose this series LeBron will never hear the end of it from the media (i.e. losing to Kyrie's team without Kyrie or GH). Won't be his fault of course. We need our supporting cast to get it done tonight.

Boston media is melting down over the officiating. Ummmm, your team fouls every possession and gambles the foul won't be called. That's been the case for four years. You call it "masking deficiencies" all you want, but the Celtics foul a fuck ton.

Confident in Korver.. the other two are a toss up.. I’m hoping all 3 will shoot good but I think out of the 3 love needs to step it up and shoot the best.. he really needs to get going before next round if we do advance..

That game four was fucking ridiculous. It'd unimaginable that they are complain about refs.

I think this ref crew has been inconsistent in the flow of the game, leading to some makeup calls as the game goes on. They let a lot of fouls go early and then try to get control of the game later. Get it right the first time and you won't have that problem.

Their real gm board was full of guys complaining about the refs too.. I guess when you expect all the calls you get pissed about only getting 85% of them.
