I know everyone is looking for big time Pgs like Bibby and Kidd, but what if we could obtain Curry. I know he doesn't look like the best of players right now, but I think he could be efficient with the cavs.

Let says Ferry trades Snow/Newble for Curry, and at the same time swinging S.Brown for a decent pg like West or Jack (possible). I think this improves our team and putting Curry next to AV and Lebron would dangerous and provide great depth. Our lineup:

Z, Curry, D Jones
Drew, AV, MarShall, Simmons
Lebron, Sasha,
Hughes, D. Brown
Jack/West, Gibson, Damon

Ok. I know Curry has 3 years left, but this move wouldn't keep us from being major players this summer or next because we'd still have upcoming expirings:

Drew, Damon, MarShall

And 1 year contracts of:

AV, Sasha, Hughes, Simmons, and Z.

These events would also ease the pain of Z's eventual retirement.

Thoughts?

I thought we're giving up good pieces for Curry. If it did I'll kick someone in the ass.

If we can't make at least one damn trade before the deadline then I would consider your deal. Getting West or Jack for Shannon is a good idea, not to mention a major upgrade in talent and IQ.

There's one knock in Curry though..... REBOUNDING. But he's got the reputation of a good post player but I don't think the Knicks fans are happy about it right now. :dunno:

We could easily fleece Isiah...sure Curry isn't what everyone thought he'd be, but he's always finished well around the basket that I've seen..we could definitely use some of that. I'd try to package something for him, but nothing crazy.

He's friends with Lebron? Do you think they'd take Newble, and Shannon for him?

Z, Curry
Gooden, AV

That's a sweet set of Bigs.

yes they are friends but LeBrons friends with almost everyone minus Paul Pierce

contracts have to add up and Ira and Shannon dont make enough for that to happen

Drew would have to be included I think...but Drew Ira and Shannon might be closer to working

someone try the tradechecker i dont know

I'm very familiar that the salaries need to add up, I forgot to type in Snow.

They might do Drew/Ira/Shannon, but i doubt even Isiah could stomach Snow/Ira/Shannon. Curry's acquisition was one of the biggest Ike's gambles so giving the big man away for naught would make more press than Memphis giving away Gasol.

Great.. So we get the fat lazy guy that can't rebound or block shots...

The guy is 6-11 565747478lbs

And he averages 4 rebounds and a staggering 1/2 a block per game..

ya cause Drew is just a shot blocking machine...Sorry Drew may rebound better but we have LeBron Andy and Z who can pick up the slack EASY in the Rebounding department

Eddy can score with his back to the basket and gives us someone to dump the ball into to get hard buckets...

You cant tell me that you would take Drew over Eddy...I would take Curry for Drew and change any day....

if you have some concerns about his contract then that might be fair...but really is only getting paid 9 mil and he could potentially be our replacement for Z and for the now he would finally give us that 2nd legit Center we have been needing for awhile.

Im not saying he is a life saver but for Drew and change i would take him...and after all of that this isnt going to happen so i wasted all of our time

And don't forget the heart issues too. I can't imagine any team (other than the Knicks) ever having a real interest after that came out.

Forget Curry... what about Randolph? Not the sharpest knife in the drawer but he can score. Gives you everything Curry does plus rebounding. I figure if you're gonna add a guy that doesn't play defense...

NO

Curry is fat, lazy, a health risk, a piss poor defender, a piss poor rebounder and a black hole on offense. Oh, and he's owed a lot of money.

Randolph may be a little better, but even then, he's owed way too much money and he's been in trouble for awhile now (oh, and he had microfracture surgery).
