Emergency Thread Cavs @ Bulls 3/17 8:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What did he say in that post that shows "hate"?

What did he say, specifically in that post, that you disagree with?

Stop being a troll, douche.
You have a real problem with personal attacks. Have a good night man, and go Cavs!

I don't think there's much of a switch to this team.

The teams we beat in the East didn't surprise me at all. I get it, LeBron has a switch, and he'll turn it on. But does the rest of the team? Does fucking Lue (lol)

And that switch, what did it really do last year?

I didn't think Toronto was that good last season, and Lowry missed the rest of the playoffs after the first two games. That's a big deal.

I didn't even think Boston would get to the conference finals, because I didn't think they were good, at all...

But in the finals, it was clear as day, the Warriors weren't better. They were laughably better than us.

That said, I think the East at the top, with Toronto, is at least better than last year. And we're clearly worse.

I still think we get out. I still believe in LeBron that much, in a bad conference, with a team in Toronto that doesn't have a true superstar.

But with all these injuries we have, and expecting it to just gel in time, I think it's looking bleak how much of a roll we get on.

I don't think we're sweeping our way through the East. I wouldn't be shocked if we have a serious scare in the first round where it goes 7.

I mean, you talk nonstop shit about LeBron every single game thread. Asking how long you've hated the guy is a perfectly valid question.

An interesting project would be a correlation between the content my posts about LeBron relative to his DRTG and turnover %...

I'm talking shit because he's constantly dogging it out there my man. Just posting about what I see....

33/12/12 on 58% shooting.. I really don't see how people don't enjoy watching the greatest player in history put on a show every night.

A guy named Denzel Valentine goes for 32. Injuries or not, just speaks to how fucked up things are here and how much of problem we really have. There's nothing good to take away from this game.

We aren't very good.

Missing three of top seven players. (Love, Larry, Cedi/Rodney/Korver)
Missing five of top ten players. (Love, Larry, Cedi, Rodney, Korver)
*For this game, Korver will be back Monday

Defensive scheme is silly.
Rotations are silly.
LeBron generally doesn't give a shit about defense and goes through stretches where he's laughably out of position (this guy knows what he's doing, no way his defensive IQ has dropped that low, not saying I like it, but he conserves a lot of energy this way while playing heavy minutes)
Offensive flow isn't there.

Despite the Cavs looking terrible at times, there's nothing I've seen that isn't correctable and they're still the hands-down favorite to come out of the East to me. I think they can put up a fight in the Finals too.

Yeah, they've had bad habits as a unit and hopefully those habits are phased out going into the playoffs. Valentine lighting it up or any of the other recent losses don't alarm me in the long run, but man, is it frustrating to watch in the short term.

The "switch" is real.

I want what this guy is drinking. :chuckle:

Find one post where I've denied LeBron is one of the best individual offensive players in the league???

I'm just trying to figure out where you're coming from on this.. You say you love LeBron, and maybe you do, but it seems like you derive very little joy from watching him play..

The LeBron complaints were very valid from January until the Timberwolves game. He played like crap during that stretch. I lashed out a few times, but honestly that was because I was worried LeBron hit a steep decline and the player I've loved watching since I was 8 wouldn't be the same again.

However, he's been on a tear since going for 37/15/10 in that Timberwolves game. Yeah, he dogs it on defense, but with all our injuries he has to put up 30+ to win. If Lue's going to ride him for 40 minutes a night in his 15th season some aspect of his game is going to suffer.

The switch basically is LeBron and throwing out this horrible defensive scheme. We saw in the first half how effective this team can be when LeBron is driving into the paint and dishing back out to the 3 point line. We then saw the flip side of the coin when LeBron turn the jets off and just started to stand around waiting for the open guy.

The difference between this year and last is we don't have a second guy to really drive into the paint and get the defense to collapse in. The question is if LeBron can do that for 40 minutes a game in the playoffs. At least with Calderon, he is constantly probing. I would be incline to put Calderon into the rotation and push JR out.

We might find some sort of effective play with Nance and Love playing inside out to spell LeBron from driving.
