Following the 31st game of the Cavs 2021/2022 season, RealCavsFans.com introduces the fourth episode of the Rubber Rim Job podcast.

@RchfldCavRaised is joined by co-host @The Oi as they reflect on the first third of the season and allow some optimism and hope for this team playing like a contender steer the conversation.

Somehow the guys sprinkle in talk about:

- Ice Ice Okoro hitting his stride

- Garland to Nash comparisons

- JBB making believers of any RCF haters and rewarding @BimboColesHair and @2 For The Brew for their early support in the forums

- All things and absolutely nothing substantive about Kevin Pangos

Spoiler: Rchfld did NOT drive to Atlanta for the game which was postponed.

It's like an audio RCF thread without the fighting!

I'm in the process of reaching out to our Cavs history friend right after Christmas :)

Thank you again for that

From the desk of JBB:

Hold muh dick!

But really, credit to him and his staff for keeping the same offensive system in place when he was forced to replace Sexton with Okoro. Could have easily went a different direction, especially with what you could see they were trying to do with Sexton within the system.

Massive offensive dip from Sexton to Okoro, but the whole goal of the offense we installed for this season was to take advantage of our size, passing skill of the bigs, and the attention that will draw to either win in the actions involving those guys or give the off ball guard an advantage vs the defense when plays break down and the ball is swung from side to side.

We had the big Okoro debate about putting him in the D League with the ball in his hands or just keeping him out there and plugging away. The offense puts him in such good positions that it makes sense to keep him in his current role to develop him. 99% of his touches come either in transition, on a swing where he is able to attack the rim with guys scrambling to come close out on him, back cutting off bigs when teams blitz Garland on the high PnR, or just manning the corners or wings for catch and shoot 3s.

Such a simple role but one when filled properly with an efficient scorer (which was their thinking with Sexton in this role I am sure) shows you what the offense is capable of.

Simple and efficient is not nonexistent and uncreative, and that is exactly how I would describe their offensive system this year.

This is the Kevin Pangos content I've been looking for!

Seriously, though - nice job on these. I've listened to every one you put out and they are fantastic.

These are sooooo good. The *only* issue is listener expectations about when the next one will come out. If you guys could ship weekly, that would be dope. But life gets in the way.
Awesome job again. If we could get you guys to Twitch stream like 1 game with commentary during, even if it's months away, that would be fire.

Ice ice baby
Ice ice baby
All right stop
Hit a corner three and listen
Ice is back with his brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of him tightly
Break away and dunk daily and nightly
Will it ever stop?
Yo, I don't know
Take out the dreds and he'll fro
To the extreme, he blocks a shot like a vandal
Light up a court and wax a chump like a candle
Practice
Go shoot over the coach with brooms
He's killin' the dribbler like a poisonous mushrooms
Deadly, when he guards the top defender
Anything less and the best players surrender
Love it or leave it
The dude can play
He'll hit bull's eye
The kids gettin' paid
If there was a problem
Yo, he'll solve it
Check out the shot while DG revolves it

Ice ice baby Okoro
Ice ice baby Okoro
Ice ice baby Okoro
Ice ice baby Okoro

@RchfldCavRaised you really sure you want me on your show? I will come on and sing this, that will teach to be careful for what you ask for, LMAO

Bro I will weaponize my children. Go ahead and have Jigs fill up his children’s custom Nalgenes, and you should order the iodine tablets, bc the minidaggers are coming, and all water will be shut off. You have been warned.

Good stuff fellas !!!

Another great episode - the hour doesn’t feel like an hour at all

I had the same experience. I drove for a few holiday errands, paused at a store when Jigo brought up Kevin Pangos... and I was amazed only a few minutes remained.

I'm really enjoying these, as often as you guys can churn them out.
