his arc looks way better I feel like. Also, seems he's getting some air under his feet. Certainly promising. Expect it to drop to like 32% (hopefully 33%)... but that's still fairly respectable. Then hopefully climb a couple percentage points to around 35% or so.
I'd happily take 33% on 2.5-3 attempts per game. Higher is better, but it would be a great start and make a real difference in how defenses have to play them.

yeah, I mean 33% is 50% on 2s... only about a quarter of the league shoots that well.

“ In the Cavs’ 119-95 win over the Toronto Raptors, their ninth straight victory, Mobley had 17 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 1 of 4 from range.

The third quarter saw Scottie Barnes wave off a three-point look by Mobley, leaving him wide open, but the 22-year-old Mobley rose without hesitation and knocked down the 25-footer.

“It felt good,” Mobley said of answering the insolence. “[He was] trying to disrespect a little bit, but I’ve been working on my game.

“I just try to shoot it with confidence, not really care about what [the defense does]. If they wanna sag off, it’s easier for me.”

That’s the fucking attitude Evan. This team will go as far you hit your ceiling. Keep working on your game and let’s start chasing rings babyyyyy

I have posted this thought in several threads but have not seen an answer. Does anyone have a feel for how long Mobley's knee was bothering him before they shut him down. Somebody doesnt learn to be a 3 point shooter while rehabbing a torn meniscus. The only thing that makes sense is that Mobley was playing through pain for a while and now that he is pain free he is finally able to play the game the way he wants to.

Clearly Mobley's knee problem was having a serious effect on his play.

I'm loving the three point attempts, even though it's just been baby steps at this point. I hope he can keep building confidence.

I'd like to see Mobley work with guys like Merrill and Struss on ways to speed up his release, make it a little more instinctive and less tentative in the off season. Keep stacking improvements in the skill sets. It will add up more as each year goes by.

Yes. I hope the Cavs caN avoid future problems with his lower body. That’s key

My suspicion is he’s been working on it for a long time. The team shifted the offense to feature more 3 point shooting and it’s all starting to come together now. Maybe?

I think its still a little bit of baby giraffe syndrome, which Evan still has a bit. He's only been in this frame for a few years, and he's still learning everything. Speed and fluidity will come with time, dude is only 22.

Repeat the mechanics, improve the %, then worry about speed.

Yea Mobley has the highest ceiling on the team without a doubt. That includes Don who will plateau soon and is probably a top10-15 guy.
