You guys are insufferable.

Dude took and made big shots in the playoffs last year and has shown obvious growth. The team dynamic and shot distribution (esp with Harden) doesn't do him any favors.

Get a fucking grip.

Hey, you go right ahead and get yourself jacked up as much as you want for summer workout videos, that's your right. Criticizing anyone who is done getting hyped over workout videos is what is insufferable. It's August. His performance in actual games that count will be the only thing that matters, not what we see of him shooting over a vinyl pad on a stick in the off season. I quit watching workout videos altogether, blame Deshaun Watson.

The hope has always been that Evan would become good enough to be the piece who could put the roster over the top as a championship player. I haven't written him off yet and I do hope he can continue to grow and improve to become that player. If he doesn't that doesn't mean he sucks, he's still a hell of a player right where he's at.

But summer workout videos, even if he's wearing a durag, don't mean squat to me. I can wait and see how his summer work translates to meaningful improvement in games that count. I want him to take another step towards having greater impact, and I hope he becomes a HOF player who wins rings. I still think it might be in there somewhere.

That's not complaining.

But, every year we hear about how Evan Mobley is going to be more of a focal point in the offense. And every year that is not the case. At least not to the degree it needs to be.

Same cycle with "the team is really motivated this year." That's been bullshit. I'll believe it when I see it.

I mean it’s equal parts bullshit and truth to me. As you say it’s degrees. Even just a few more touches makes Evan more of a focal point…

This Cavs era = achievers. Not overachievers like the Pacers and Knicks, not underachievers like most Boston years outside of 23-24 but just achievers.
