Please explain this to me in Olivia Rodrigo terms. @Damage

It would be Good 4 u to get your drivers license (only songs I know of hers, sorry not funnier, lol)

My favorite thing about her is that she was in a tv show called High School Musical the show...and as my daughter explained its not about the actual musical movie High School Musical, which is about putting on a musical, but its about putting on the Musical High School Musical...so its a show about putting a musical that is about putting on a musical. Yeah my daughter thinks its historically dumb too, lol.

I know they're competing in a really close race but I wish they helped him develop his scoring tools more in game. He needs to get more comfortable doing his thing

It’s High School Musical, the Musical: The Series

Or so I’ve been told.

He is developing super fast all things considered. He played only 1 year of college, he is now a rookie, he is far more developed than he should be and really need the offseason to further work on his skills. What you are seeing from Mobley offensively with the ball handling at 7'1, the pull up, the little bit of post game is all natural. They just cant throw much more at him without it stunting his growth. They need him to work on the tools. Nothing they are doing with Mobley is to sacrifice for the team to win more, with him they are only feeding him what he is capable of doing now and the little bit of things they think he can work on.

Basically if you give Mobley too much he will fail, lose confidence and stunt his growth.

Also, NBA teams generally don't do that much individual "developing" during the season.

There's tons of games, travel and video to watch. Teams don't go very hard in practice at all and these guys need a lot of rest too. It all takes time.

Surprisingly often it's up to the player to develop his own skills in the offseason.

Jerry Sloan developed CJ Miles by putting the 2nd and 3rd year prep to pros prospect in the starting lineup with Stockton and Malone.

He wasn't their best shooting guard, but the Jazz knew how to get him on the floor in a positive way, mistakes and all. They were contenders, but they gave Miles floor time in a position to be his best self.

Exactly my point. But I dont 100% agree they develop on their own in the offseason. They have exit interviews with the coaching staff. They tell them what they need to work on, they develop skills, and give the players resources including working with assistant coaches to develop those skills.

I am guessing you agree, but the offseason is typically for a player under contract, especially on a rookie contract, a collaboration between the staff, the player and the player's team including coaches they have used in the past.

What will be interesting with Mobley is that his dad is a college coach, I am sure once the seasons ends (hopefully after a run in the playoffs), the coaching staff will include Mobley's dad in the development conversation, I mean why wouldnt they, he is part of what made Mobley who he is today, and probably sees the same things as the coaching staff.
