22 straight misses on 3's, then he goes 2-for-2 last night. We don't know if he's turning a corner or if that was an aberration, but his form and rhythm looked good and his free throw shooting has improved lately as well - he's 12 for his last 14.

From Fedor's latest column:

[Mobley] became the sixth player in NBA history to tally 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 assists, 150 blocks and 90 steals in 118 career games or less, joining Bill Walton, Chris Webber, Bobby Jones, Alvan Adams and Derrick Coleman.

I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure Mobley is younger than all of them when they hit those numbers.

Certainly seems like a light has gone on as far as as aggression. He's playing with force and I love it
He's deferring less and attacking the rim more. I still want him to stop trying to go coast-to-coast after getting a rebound. He turns the ball over too much when he tries to dribble in traffic.

That long step he's developing is really effective. He can actually take a pass at the foul line and take one huge step without a dribble and still get a layup.

I'd like to see him get better at put-backs after an offensive rebound when he's in a crowd of players hacking at the ball.

Mobley will never develop with Mitchell here.
We're seeing him develop right before our eyes. By the way, Mitchell assists on 23% of his teammates' made baskets when he is on the floor, which is in the 74th percentile among "combo" guards. He's a willing passer averaging nearly 6 assists per game.

Interesting video from Quincy Carrier.:

- if Mobley can cut his turnovers down, he can be a 21.1 ppg, 8-9 rpg, and 5 apg big with Mitchell and DG

- there's a pattern/correlation between Mobley's field goal attempts and efficiency that Carrier thinks predicts those numbers

Not sure if shitposting?

I don’t really care about his assist numbers. They can be up there but that could only mean that he has the ball in his hands a ton and we are relying on him to create all of our offense. I’m not saying that is the case, but I want Garland to be running this offense at least until the 4th quarter. DM looked happy to be the secondary ballhandler last game, and everyone played well (albeit against the very undermanned Clippers). Hopefully that continues.
