Today was the first time I seen him say this is my team. It was the first time I’ve ever seen him demand the ball. He actually posted up threw his hands up and got it low and banged his way into a bucket. Was beautiful to see.

He can develop even more kicking out to 3 and making plays like he did to Allen on one of those late possessions, but he is so good at scoring late in the game, he doesn't have to do that much.

I recall in Preseason, there were some interviews w Mitchell, I think Garland had one. The topic was about who will be leading this team, and they both alluded to Mobley being that guy.

At the time, I thought the comment was loco, as those are two dawgs right there. Then I wondered what the hell are they seeing in practice to give them this opinion. Can you imagine what that must look like? Coast to coast, prolly some Dr. J swooping reverses just for the shit of it - he's probably got guys convinced he can pull a dollar off the top of the backboard and leave some change.

+ JBB already proclaiming in the offseason that the expectation is for Mitchell to become the Robin to Mobley’s Batman in a couple years. Wild but not improbable stuff.
