One of the problems with the season being so competitive and everyone coming at you every night is Mobley doesn't get a lot of chances to freelance like last night like a young star should. He is required by his brain to play the right way and make the right play as close to 100% of the time as he can.
One reason I love this team so much is most of the guys esp in the starting lineup play that way. Easy to root for.

I cant believe Houston and Detroit both messed this up so badly. I was excited on draft night for us to take a swing at Scottie Barnes who I thought would've been a great fit for our roster. Didnt buy the Cade hype but he was clearly going number 1. I thought Mobley was so obviously the best prospect that he would be gone at 2. Nope. So happy it worked out that way

Mobley's game did not stick out from highlights. You needed to watch games I think. He looked just ok in summer league and then it was like "HUH???!?!" in preseason. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and by the 3rd or 4th game I was sure he would be a star pretty much.
I was very very high on Scotties playmaking. I thought his foot speed was better than it is because he guarded guards in college. It turned out Mobley wasn't just a little better than him defensively. Lol
Truth is Evan could still use some help on that hook shot. Especially when he gets over-excited and just flings it at the basket
I think Cade is going to be good if he can stay healthy. He was averaging 20/6/6 before getting injured and in this era the guy with the ball in his hands most has added value. So I get why he went #1. But Green over Mobley is looking pretty bad.

Still too early to tell, but his efficiency numbers from all over the court have been awful since he came into the league. When your main question mark is athleticism and you're supposed to be a good shooter, it's a bit of a yellow flag at least.

Hakeem would be the better coach, teach him footwork and defense. But I think Hakeem only works with Rockets players
