Sounds like RichieRich was a victim of the telephone game and a few things got distorted.

I don’t believe he nor his source was intentionally trying to mislead.

I think things got confused in the rumor mill when Isaiah was in for a workout.

Actual members of the media said Evan came in for a workout, so I dont blame RichieRich at all, I do believe he heard what he heard from a decent source. Sources can be wrong.

Cavs still lack a sharpshooter. That's a big need.

To be clear, they lack a healthy sharp shooter. They have one, he is just usually in street clothes.

Also, Sexton and Garland are both about 40% shooters, Sexton regressed a bit, but I expect his shooting comes back. LNJ was at 36% last year taking over 3 a game, Since he worked on his shot 3 years ago, he has improved each year, 38% is not out of the question which is very good for a PF. The key with LNJ is less minutes as he only played in half the games last year. I realize he is still on the block, but if he does play, he will be a key role.

Exactly.

Who knows how many people the news went through before it eventually got to him?

Doesn’t take much to turn what actually happened into what the rumor ended up being.

Our group of wings aren't great either. Okoro, Cedi, Windler, Stevens, and Thomas. Okoro is the best of the bunch but do we consider him a wing or a guard.

We are shaping up to a team of guards and bigs. When the league is so wing driven, we should have invested heavier on wings or at least taken more shots at them. Koby sitting on all these future 2nd round picks is annoying. We have minutes to try to develop guys like that.

I don't know how we balance the lineups with the lack of shooting. Lack of spacing is going to hurt the development of our young players. I bet we are going to see alot of zone defense against us again.

Am I crazy for kinda hoping he’s done growing? He seems plenty tall and long to me already, and every extra bit of height is only going to make me worry about injuries that much more (whether that’s a well-founded worry or not).

Nope.. you are not crazy. I don't know actually, but to me if he may not be done growing and the fact that he still has that voice may point to the direction that he could pack on some muscles easier than I originally thought.(Once he fully matures ofcourse)

Crazy how we never worked him out or even talked to him.

Is this normal? Even if we can't bring in prospects for a workout, is it customary to not at least get to know them over dinner or at the very least over the phone? This just gives me some creepy Ray Farmer vibes with that whole Justin Gilbert debacle. Fortunately for the Cavs, I have no reason to think that Mobley has those issues, but really? First time the spoke to him was yesterday? I really hope this isn't how Koby typically conducts his pre-draft process.

this is why you have to convert Sexton into a starting quality SF, and to be honest one with all star potential. the cavs have been somewhat limited by their draft position. TBH, with the higher pick, I think they've done pretty well. None of the guys they've taken have been absolute busts.

It was more about Mobley's agent only wanting to workout and talk to Detroit because he believed Mobley should be the first pick. Not normal, not Koby's fault, not anything the Cavs could do about it.
