Watching these, I can now say that I've been too hard on JB. Truth is, if (when) Mobley can can (will) play at this high a level, this can become an absolutely elite defensive team.

Anf most of the reason for that is JB.

I dont really seen any KD in Mobley, KD truky has SG skills at 6'11 even if he is a bitch.

Evan is Duncan/KG hybrid. Thus the Slim Duncan nickname is perfect.
Mobley can flash PG skills in off-season workout videos. In live NBA game action, not so much. But whatever improvement he can bring to the court will elevate his ability to impact games by a lot.

His improvement will be huge but sneaky at the same time. His defense who knows where that goes, he was already top 5 in the league to me, but on offense his game is so fluid. He will be a better shooter, more strength to finish, better passing and ball handling, but you will look at the end of the game and realize he has 21 points, 1-3 from 3, shooting better from the line 3 or 4 assists, 2 or 3 blocks, 12-20 overall shooting and realize somehow he is a better player.

Garlands improvement hit you like a ton of bricks, but he had the ball in his hands all the time as a pg, and his passing became elite, but Mobley is a different player, different game, already a borderline all star as a rookie, in 3 or 4 years he will be insanely good and just wont be able to point to just one thing.

I am so excited for Mobley's future.

He has gotten biiiggger in his upper body. Looks to have matured...

I’ve never thought Mobley needed to bulk up, at all. In fact past a certain point it could be counterproductive. Last year he was strong and gritty. What got interpreted as him being weak on the blocks was mostly just a high center of gravity that he will always have no matter how much he bulks up. He just has very long legs and doesn’t have a big butt, he’s built that way. It’s why he’s not quite a classic center and pairs well with Allen. If you look at that those highlights videos you can see that he’s already a physical and forceful player who uses his strength effectively. Note how often he bumps players on his drives to get space.

What he DOES need is two things. First, he desperately needs an effective jumper. He cannot keep shooting 25% from 3 and be a superstar in the modern NBA. I mean, forget it. Again, he will NEVER be an offensive superstar shooting like this. He should be prioritizing his jumper this off season. Being a threat or even just average from 3 will open up his driving game further.

Second, he badly needs to work on his passing / point forward decision making skills. There were too many cases last year where he drove into a dead end and then wasted time trying moves until he got stripped. His assist to turnover ratio was ugly. He needs to learn to decisively punish double teams as soon as they develop. As with three point shooting, when you look at him on the court it seems like he has the raw potential to be a highly effective passer and decision maker but he just wasn’t last year
