I assumed it was you, and I had to scroll back up to see that it wasn't.

I thought it was hilarious, and for sure sounded like me...but it wasnt.

Charles Barkley just mentioned he had said Barnes and Kuminga were the two best players in the draft and that his prediction looked good.

Of course the Cavaliers are never on national TV so maybe he just hasn’t seen him play.

More likely it was cranial flatulence.

Ya there’s no way a coach’s son doesn’t know what a proper screen looks like. I’m guessing there’s an understanding between he and the coaching staff that he’s not ready to take that sort of physical contact over the course of an NBA season yet.
I agree 100%. He is not fully developed and he’s playing against dudes who are. Doesn’t make sense for him to take that beating now.

I would imagine his family is pretty dam happy with his development and Team performance so far in Cleveland , say what you want about his skills set, but I’m pretty sure Detroit and Houston would still be at the bottom of the league even with him…

Barkley didn’t care about playing defense while playing in the NBA. Not expecting him to start caring now.

I noticed Shaq didn't say anything either. I'd think two ex-big men that frequently complain about the big man going extinct would be all over Mobley whether the Cavs are on tv or not.

Quiet 15/6/3/1/1 on 46% and the game high +14 tonight. Needs to work on free throws though.

He had like 2 or 3 insane sequences tonight of multiple wow plays and it’s just another game for him

Turnovers

Next on the agenda
I’m gonna add positioning to this as well…

Some of these turnovers from others or broken plays are clearly cause he’s having a tougher time getting his position when the Cavs are trying to go to him…. Spurs tonight were giving him fits in the post with smaller defenders…

When he’s able to firmly establish position on the block and get to his move(s) he’s gonna be unstoppable— considering he can hit that midrange already and is a fantastic and smart passer— he’s gonna be a monster with the ball eventually…

There's literally nothing stopping him from quickly kicking it out to the perimeter when the D collapses on him like it did in the Spurs game. The math still applies – an open 3pt shot is better than a forced post-up. Every single time.

Also, our perimeter guys are willing passers. If Mobley kicks it out and quickly re-seals his defender, it's likely he'll get the ball back right away. But he's got to have more trust.

For a guy who's obviously a very talented passer, Mobley has developed some black hole tendencies with his post-ups. Not sure why – he was much more inclined to play inside-out early in the season.

You have to be a GREAT post-up player to justify that being a large part of your team's offense. Mobley is far from great in the low block at this point. Really, he's not even good. He has one move, a difficult turnaround fadeaway that defenses see coming every time.

Just pass the ball, youngin
