Agreed. I'm not really interested in defending the guy. I always loved having him on the team, and he's a damn good ballplayer. However, I also knew he wasn't really an MVP-type player (just a notch below and there's nothing wrong with that), and that a lot of his "I love Cleveland and want to be here forever" stuff was mostly lip service.

I'll be surprised if at the end of the year he doesn't have an .800+ OPS and is worth 5+ fWAR.
