Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Feel bad for Cookie, not so much for Lindor.

It took the National League pitchers about two weeks to get a book on Naquin.

Frazier's OPS has increased steadily from .715 as a rookie to .905 last year. He's now 26 and should be moving into the prime of his career. I wonder what's going on. He needs to play every day, IMO, but he's never gotten more than 225 AB's in a season. If he had stayed with the Indians and been able to play every day the last couple of years I wonder where he would be. Too bad we didn't trade them Zimmer instead.

I have a friend in the Mets organization that said he saw McNeil confront Lindor near the tunnel and Lindor shoved him and McNeil took him to the ground….

Believe it or not Doc was there and did a bump…. I believed it…

yep, that is former Tribe farmhands EGon & Blaze hitting 5th & 6th in the starting Pirates lineup..
As bad as things have been at times for CLE this season, I'd take CLE 10 out of 10 times over the Pirates...

Yep, you got that right. And their rotation blows too. It's gonna be a long time before they're relevant again.

Colin Moran is a guy who could get traded (we could acquire him) but he left he game with an injury. If healthy he probably is on our look at list at least.

Poor+stupid=Pirates
The Pirates have claimed outfielder Ben Gamel off waivers from the Indians, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was among those to pass along (Twitter links). To create space on the 40-man roster, righty Michael Feliz was designated for assignment.

Gamel signed a minor-league contract with the Indians over the offseason and earned an Opening Day roster spot with a productive Spring Training. The 28-year-old couldn’t carry that over into the regular season, though, going just 1-17 with three walks and six strikeouts before Cleveland moved on. Tough start to 2021 notwithstanding, Gamel has been an acceptable role player for much of his MLB career. Also a former Yankee, Mariner and Brewer, the left-handed hitter has managed a .259/.330/.385 line (95 wRC+) over parts of six major league seasons.

the track record of guys who won spots on the team in spring training isn't very good 5 weeks into the season

That's not to be unexpected since they were all stopgap signings honestly. Shaw has still been solid for us though...
