Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tidrow was in the Petersen/Kline who's married to whom trade (predated the eckersly manning situation)

at the halfway point Tyler Naquin's batting #s are all a bit lower than his career numbers despite playing in Cincy - the only difference between what we saw and what they're seeing is that he's playing every day - indeed when Nick Senzel sleeps at night, he dreams about being an iron horse like Naquin

Minor correction,, he pitched in the early 70's. Tribe employed a 3 man rotation for a large portion of the 72 season. Tidrow, Milt Wilcox and the Lord.
Hey, at my age, the decades begin to blur together.

Saw this thread bumped and it motivated me to see how Naquin had been doing since his early tear that had this place in a frenzy.

Not so hot.

Most players have a pattern.

Naquin is following his to a T.

Severe splits, and slightly below average overall numbers powered by one super hot month. The only thing missing so far is a stint on the IL.

Un how does he have a WAR of -0.1 ? By contrast Harold is at 0.8

Because he is not as productive as Harold.

He’s playing in CF most games and rates as pretty terrible there. I would assume his WAR would be better playing RF.

Tylers WAR would be better if he were a better player....and healthier.

At 30 yrs old he is what he is when healthy...a LH platoon corner OF.

Naquin has a defensive WAR of -0.6 so there ya go.

I wonder if the Reds will even offer Naquin in the offseason - he's arby 3 and if he plays 150 games he could be getting some pretty nice dough

winker and his .920 ops is arby 2 and he's making 3 mil this season

castellanos can opt out at the end of the season - an mvp season might be worth a contract much more than the 16 mil the reds would owe him for 22

if they could trust senzel to be healthy it would make their lives easier - otoh, theyre pretty happy to have a healthy naquin doing what he's done for all his career outside of showing up every day

Ah did not realize they had him playing CF, that explains it

1 of 3 pieces in return for Gomes..

Tribe also received Daniel Johnson & Andruw Monasterio (currently in AA) in that trade.

Hard to believe 24 runs in one game in the Year of the Pitcher. And Tatis only had one hit - a single. And the Padres were on the road.
