Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
1 of 3 pieces in return for Gomes..

Tribe also received Daniel Johnson & Andruw Monasterio (currently in AA) in that trade.
forgot about monastery much like the front office forgot about Johnson - not a trade Antonetti is gonna highlight on his resume

It was a fine trade. We never really missed Gomes and Johnson has promise. Not sure why you’d say the FO has forgotten about him.

What kind of promise does Daniel Johnson have? He's 26 and still hasn't learned to put the ball in play. I also don't see his defense being anywhere close to elite which it would need to be to make up for the offense he's shown over the last 2 years. I guess if he somehow improved from 2019 we might have something but it seems like he's gone in reverse.

He did his job... His AAA numbers look solid at least. I always thought he should only bat from the left side... His numbers vs lefties from the right side aren't good enough for him to stay a switch. May as well just keep hitting from the left side and perfect that...

noted above that Tyler Naquin has cooled appreciably for the reds - however tonight he's 5 for 6 with 4 rbi's - mets 10 reds 10 thru 10

Gotta be the first five hit game of his career.

Looks like he'll easily set career highs for at-bats, doubles, and home runs. He already has a career high for RBI's. His OPS is right at his career average. He's not hitting better than usual, he's just managed to stay healthy and in the lineup.

and even then his season #s are distorted by his first time around the NL when he had 6 hr's and a .914 ops in April - but there is value to playing every day
